Well.....17-0, about to be worse in the 1st qtr on our home opener.

#feelsveryfamiliar
Welp, I get to fully and completely retract my comment. I gladly admit and fully embrace the ignorance, negativity and inaccuracy of my statement.

I hope no one was injured with my reckless and feckless banter.

Thanks man... I re watched the game after I was calm so I could look at it critically. Not because I'm a masochist, but more because I really wanted to dissect the play on the field.
I played ball myself and also coached a little so I understand the game pretty well, and after looking at the game again I came away being thankful for Prescott quite honestly as much as that pains some haters around here. Our team has some real problems, and the biggest ones is our lack of flexibility with our defense and inability to adjust and win at football chess. I'm seriously hoping that Big Mike implements some things that get us over that hump because if he does I think you will see Dak putting up 30 a game quite honestly... If you look back to when we played the Saints last year with Teddy Bridgewater at QB you will see that that game mirrored the Ram's game quite a bit.

The Ram's dinked and dunked us and had big runs after the catch and we had no answer for how they kept our defense off balance. The big problem with the Ram's game was the freckled puppet or Kellen the Beaver Moore kept forcing runs up the middle which was ludicrous considering the Saints defensive line.

Our issues are in the trenches, we gotta get that figured out along with more advanced coaching. I'm not ready to write off our coaches though, they deserve a full season before I do that.
Once again...fantastic analysis. Agreed on ALL points! It's quite refreshing to see truly objective analysis, which is what I think you gave. Even if you had come out against Dak or MM, at least your analysis is factual, contextual, and intellectual!

Thanks man. I like to believe that this is how I look at life in general. Sometimes I feel like things should be more clear to other sports fans.. I mean, Big Mike deserves some time to get his vision going, heck garrett had over 10 years. I understand it's hard to be patient as Cowboys fans after all of these years of mediocrity, but we really should try and relax and enjoy the new situation. I've watched Big Mike from afar and he is a different animal than Garrett, he doesn't coach scared, and he most definitely deserves time to implement his vision and correct things. It's absurd for anyone to be too hard on him right now because of the circumstances. In terms of Dak, well I can't say enough good things about him, I think he is absolutely underrated around here for all that he brings! The teams itself hasn't come together, but I believe when it does, and it will, things will be unmistakably different. If something happened to Dak, most of our fellow forum goers would find out quickly just how good he really is.

You should go on You Tube and watch his college games. It will enlighten you.
He was great when he played weak teams, but when the pressure was on, he just couldn't do anything.
It's not a knock on the guy to say he isn't what he needs to be. He is what he is.

LOL what are you talking about? The college team that Dak played for was considered a weak team which good teams with top talent beat on.

They won games because of Dak. I think they were once ranked #1. They had a winning program because of Dak.

I'm glad you guys are thrilled with Dak. I like the guy, but I am not there.
I just don't see the light come on in Dak the way great quarterbacks do. My opinion is that Dak is serviceable in limited situations, but that he doesn't have the instincts that the great ones do.
He tightens up when the pressure is on and just isn't able to make plays when he needs to be a leader.
But if you guys like him, I am happy for you.
After the way Jerry has treated us over the past 14 years, I really just don't care about it like I used to.
I see Dak as being Jason Garrett 2.0. He was chosen by Garrett and coddled by Garrett, and I think he should have been canned with Garrett.

i usually try to detour clear of these ever going Dak threads - but i'll remind those of this....

- in 2016, we reportedly coveted QB Paxton Lynch and tried mightily to trade up to get him n 1st round.
... Lynch was cut yet again just this summer, and not even on an active roster in the NFL.
imagine this team if we did so trade for Lynch.....instead Dak Prescott.

- in the 3rd round in 2016, We tried to move up to draft ex-Raiders QB Conner Cook. he's no longer in the NFL... (XFL league) .
Imagine if we had went with Cook.. instead Dak Prescott.

Didn't bother me one bit. I didn't watch it.
However, I am concerned at how much the finish resembled a WWF match.
But Dak did well, apparently- against a team with no wins.
Surprise, surprise.

You’re pretty outspoken for someone who doesn’t even watch the games.
