The Rams game looked like a 20-point beatdown, and so did this.

Put the pom poms down, and watch objectively.
hahahahhahahahahaha

How do you say objective right after saying what things "looked like" something that they absolutely weren't? This takes the cake.

Just win ugly baby.

I started a thread about defense in the NFC that addresses this and one thing the Cowboys discovered in that game was their ability to move the ball quickly and in nice sized chunks and any team that can do that, can play with any team.

And I don't know what QB some are watching but this QB is not the reason they're not 2-0 and I don't get not giving him credit for improvement. If he looks like the same QB that took the field in 2016 to you, I don't get that. He's making those throws he was missing back then and has shown that he is the exception to the rule that a QB can't improve accuracy at this level. Seeing is believing.

I watched Prescott as much as anyone here from his junior year at Miss St. on, and more than most, and the difference is remarkable. He and what they pay him are not the problem with this team.

Again, you just don't understand what you're watching.

Done with you.

You don't know what "objective" means.

You'll be done right until the next time you say something stupid.

You do know you're a known know-nothing commodity around here, right? I've been warned about you, but I still partake in your gibberish for some masochistic reason.

No more. To ignore you go.

Everyone is clowning the Falcons onsides ST players, understandably so to an extent. I haven't heard one reference pointing towards a potential gaffes ie... the ball NOT even going 10 yards... We've all seen blunders where you try to pounce BEFORE 10 yards and not gather the ball, thus giving the kicking team to gather BEFORE 10 yards. Just pointing out that we executed brilliantly and not as easy for the receiving team in real time. You go for that ball early which is slippery and sputtering-mess up-- Dallas may have an easy recovery.

I'm fine with winning ugly, too, but I'd like to do it against somebody that matters.

When was the last time we beat somebody of consequence? Somebody who went far into the playoffs that year? Somebody truly considered an elite top 5 type of team? Celebrating wins against the little sisters of the league is so Cleveland.

Of course we're moving the ball. Everybody in the league is right now. Offenses are vastly outpacing defenses so far.

I agree. But the end result still isn’t where we need it to be. So, we have to analyze how we got here.

Our defense is definitely our greatest weakness. We have over invested on our offense . Why is that ?

What teams have invested as much in a top WR and RB, OL and on the brink of a QB too. Something has to give there. Either the offense has to be so great it carries the team or we’ve over invested overall on offense or key parts .

Can we as fans really be honest and objective about this ?

Right.

Amazing we are celebrating a win that was a collapse by a losing lesser team. Can we enjoy the win? Of course . But we are one of the most improbable plays in our history away from being 0-2 despite our offensive production . Which basically would have just been another game running up stats in a losing effort .

Why is it amazing that fans are celebrating a win? Fans don't get deep into style points.

If they go for the FG instead of the 1st on that 4th and 3, we don't know what the record would be.

It's too early to really tell where teams are going to end up, AZ and CHI are 2-0.

This week we'll get to see more of what this team is and can be. Away game against a team averaging 35+ ppg and a QB that's playing the best ball in the NFL.

In true fashion we will compete or even beat Seattle and lose to a scrub team. I don’t put much stock into our wins or losses anymore unless we get to the playoffs.

Even last year we hung in there with the Pats and Saints but lost to the Jets and ended up 8-8.
Very true. Always a team or 2 during the season that we have no business beating and we smoke them. Then I get a big head and think we are going to win it all, only to be let down when we lose to a lesser team..

Because the GM is a follow the ball GM and realizes O stars get more coverage. If every owner was his own GM, they'd all be follow the ball guys.

Football evolved into entertainment and began to draw the fringe fans and fantasy footballers and they're all about offense and scoring. You give them a game like ATL-DAL over a CHI-NYG game and you're set. That SNF game coming down to the last play in a game with 65 points is exactly what the NFL wants. 58 points in the MNF game.

I am happy we won. That game was what we needed. We stuck together through MANY mistakes and turnovers. Believed in each other and pulled it out. We didn’t give up.

Also watching the way the rams handles the egirls let’s me know that the rams are likely going to be a winning team this year. They punked wentz. We only lost by a bad decision of not kicking the FG and taking the tie in the 4th quarter. Then the OPI was ticky tack. I think this team is doing better than what it looks.

Our Defense tightened up during the game. How many drives did the falcons get from our 30 or closer. 3 fumbles and 2 failed fake punts in our territory. Dak throws for 450. Pretty accurate passes. 4 TDs. Shultz stepped up. Big time catches from our WRs. I will take it Coach. Lol.

Looks like many GM are following the ball. Are they over investing salary cap wise as much as we are on offense?

Celebrating is fine. Not recognizing and calling out why we should have lost it turning a deaf ear.

Anyone that turns the ball over that many times in your own territory by fumbles and failed fake punts don’t deserve to win. But they totally held together. Never gave up. The team grew Sunday. They have work to do. But man that was a long day for them. They got a lot of plays in. Offense, Defense and ST. Kicker was a rock star. Lol.

That game was a blast.

But it didn't say anything positive about Dallas as a whole.

Our defense is garbage, and we weren't ready to play offensively at the start. A good team would have skulled us.

I am more hopeful this weekend because Seattle is struggling on defense and guys are hurt. That said, we're going to need to put up 35 again, I'm afraid, because Wilson is going to kill us.
