If I was a player, I would feel the same way and would have to force myself to avoid all social media outlets. No matter who you are, what you have done & what you're capable of doing, there will ALWAYS be someone out there saying something negative about you. It's a 'what have you done today' kind of league and no one is immune from being criticized. Heck...Brady got roasted after week 1 and he has how many rings? If anyone should be left alone, it would be TB but these peeps get paid to criticize EVERYONE.

Griffen about to get 5 sacks next week
Maybe he can sneeze on Wilson once. Let's not get greedy.

Maybe he should man up and admit that his unit has performed well below expectations.

I realize the guy is "sensitive" or has some issues or whatever, but maybe that type of guy ought to stay out of social media arguments.

There are other people that get paid to critique the team.

Here is some brutal honesty...…………………….Our DT's suck, our safeties sucks and anyone not named Diggs sucks. Only reason Diggs doesn't suck is because he is a rookie and is getting a free pass. Did I mention our linebackers suck?

And to think our 2 best players Jaylon and Lawrence are pretty much overpaid no shows up to this point.

Honestly...……………………….This defense is a complete rebuild and were are starting with hill, Gallimore and Diggs.

Personally I would trade both Jaylon and Lawrence. If we could get a couple of 2nd rounders for them I would be thrilled as hell

Whoa -- you're correct . . . that's pretty brutal, alright!

Don't look now, but I think maybe CowboysRoy's got you beat in brutality . . .

These guys are so soft. They expect to just ease their way into being productive?

I’m glad media members are calling them out. Bunch of sensitive guys who can’t handle the truth that they’re playing like crap

Griffen made him part of the story, Cavanaugh was just doing his job.
No, Cavanaugh made himself part of the story by responding to Griffen. Its not Griffen's job to facilitate what's part of the story or not. Jeff fairly criticized the player and then took the bait when the player took exception to that. Jeff should have sent him a pm and squashed it. Journalistic responsibility is on Cavanaugh, not the player.

Idk what his snap count is vs what he had last year. Without DLaw, maybe it’ll be easier for him to get into a rhythm

Before the 9ers before they were good were horrible, it seemingly happened overnight from year to year.. Cowboys have lots of new players and coaches to assume that it won't come together and they all suck is nut rolling at it's finest.. All defenses are giving up big plays and yards for the most part, it's because they're behind right now... I actually believe the defense is going to get better as the year goes on because we have some very good players and positional coaches at play here...

Also, In terms of what Jeff said on Twitter about Griffen, I think he was wrong actually. To say Griffen hasn't been good at all is not factual. The guy has gotten a sack and has clogged up some running lanes. He also has been motivated and has played hard. You can't say after two games that Griffen hasn't been good at all, this is just an ignorant statement this early in the year. If you're going to put that stuff up on twitter, expect some backlash.

Same guys like you complain that dallas isnt better or tougher to end a season. Lol maybe it is better to start slow and end tough. Dallas doesn't know much about that though.

What are people expecting?

Week 1, he played 58% of the defensive snaps, or 42 plays. Not sure of the run/pass splits, or where he lined up. He had 3 tackles.
Week 2, he played 75% of the defensive snaps, or 56 plays. He had 5 tackles, 2 for a loss, and a sack.

He isn't Lawrence Taylor.

Yes, I would like to see our talked about D-line make more plays. For sure. Ryan was unbothered for far too many snaps. But Griffen at least hasn't laid an egg in the TFL or sack department.

It's been two games. Too many people here now like to make rash proclamations. It's like twitter, the need to be first to say this (fairly new) player sucks.

IIRC, Griffen disappeared in the final half or third of the season last year as well. So when exactly does he think it’s ok to start playing hard and be evaluated fairly?

If you met Griffen in a dark alley and had been criticizing his game, you wouldn't like your odds.

So what's he gonna do? fight me? If I am a defensive coordinator, I wouldn't be scared of the Dallas Dline. So no, it doesn't scare me. He'd rather fight me, according to your statement versus working harder on his game.

Quick check of his stats, after 2 games in 2019 he had 4 combined tackles, 1 sack, 1 TFL and 5 QB hits. Through two games this season he has 8 combined tackles, 1 sack, 2 TFL and 1 QB hit. So after 2 games he is nearly the exact same player he was last year.

No no no, stop making sense. We don't do that around here.

Compare him to Quinn from last year. That guy was going beast mode from the jump. He clearly wanted another contract and he was rewarded with one. For once we were smart enough to let someone walk. Griffin seems content to end up on another one year deal somewhere next year. This is why the 3 million guaranteed is so critical. He would be thrilled to be released.

Did you watch any of the run plays that went to his side? Beast mode is hardly what I would use to describe it.

Quinn could get to the passer but teams used his eagerness to take an outside rush to their advantage in the run game.

I think Everson is probably wondering why he's being called out when there are much more deserving candidate including the DC.....
