Question about a Noah Brown catch

The game wasn't televised here in CT, so I just watched a condensed highlights video. There was one catch where Noah Brown got absolutely blasted, the moment he caught the ball. That's all the video showed before moving on to the next play. My question is, did they throw a flag for that hit, and if not, do you think they should have?

They did not and by rule, I think they should have. But personally, nah, that's football.
Yeah, as soon as I posted this I saw the "Love for Noah Brown?" thread, and I see it wasn't flagged.

Mods, feel free to delete this thread, unless people want to discuss the non-flag.

My initial reaction was that it would be flagged, but on replay I saw that it was shoulder pad to shoulder pad contact rather than the defender leading with the head. It was just a big hit. I was shocked when Brown hopped up like nothing happened.

Should have for sure been a flag by today’s rules. Didn’t get to catch it and turn up field and make a football move. Was defenseless. If it was us we would have gotten the flag for sure. As a matter a fact Lamb threw a block and got in front of him and he still got a flag.

They didn't even show him hop up in the video I saw. That's why I started the thread.

In the quick shot I saw, it looked like possibly a defenseless receiver.

Yeah, I definitely thought so. I was shocked no flag. I can guarantee that if a Cowboy delivered that hit on Sunday, it would have been a flag.

Noah Brown was a beast on that play. Glad he did not get hurt.

Brown literally showed no effect from the hit. He hopped up quickly and easily and trotted to the huddle - if you hadn't seen the hit you might have thought he went to the ground on his own catching a low pass and was merely touched down by the defense.

was there contact to the head or neck?

I thought it was pretty square in the chest but only saw a single replay
I didn't even see a replay. I replayed it several times, but the angle and speed of the play make it too hard to tell.

Don’t matter if he didn’t have time to catch the ball and square up and take a step.
