Dlaw was already coming off a down year in '19, when he recorded just 5 sacks after tallying 25 over the previous two seasons combined.

Just another player who declined immensely after a huge pay day. :thumbdown:

DLaw was a bad deal from day one. Paid like an elite player, while at best was ever just very good.

I think by the end of last year he was top tier again, though he did have a rough stretch after coming back from injury.

Tyron Smith is not overpaid. He is 100% underpaid and still a top 5 LT. The injuries are steady with him and very annoying but he's still worth the headache and the $. D-Law is a bank robber. That guy only did anything in a contract year and never should've gotten that contract from us.

Of all the contracts given out by the FO in the last 10 years. Smiths is probably the most team friendly deal.. If Jerry could go back he would redo it in a heartbeat..

Smith's contract is a far better value than Lawrence's ; even though Tyron misses games every year now , when he plays , he's a helluva' lot better at his craft than DeMarcus is..................

I get the sentiment due to injuries but if you think Tyron is overpaid you are incorrect. He is the 13th highest paid tackle which is probably where he should be.

I wouldn't assume that he doesn't like Booger handling the PR stuff. He does not seem at ease with the media and the local media in DAL has the same rep as the NY media. They're all over the Cowboys, all the time.

Any HC candidate knew this situation and as long as he can talk, he's never not going to do that. He suffered mightily when Parcells sidelined him and he will never allow that to happen again.

IMO, that's the reason he stays out front and in charge. He's an attention addict.
