I know most don't want to hear it, but we're simply not going anywhere until we fix the D. Pretty sure McC is well aware of that. Galley and Diggs are a good start. Need tons more talent on D, though at this point.

yes, we do. i know coaching can help improve it to a point, but lb looks to be a serious problem. time to quit counting on anything from sean lee. time to put a fork in him. and lve's future is looking iffy to me.

If our O-Line can get healthy and D-Line can get it together maybe it could be a little more than rebuilding.

This is not a rebuilding year. This is a get healthy quick year.

As far as Gallimore goes, I'm not sure it was possible to hear less about the progress of an early draft pick. Let's hope for the best but someone needs to take snaps from Hill now. I'm hoping we can find a DT to rotate in and give a better effort on early downs or just play Woods and Poe together more on run downs.

People were picking the cowboys for the superbowl before the season, now they are rebuilding after a 1-1 start.

I get this defense has looked terrible to start the year, but there is still plenty of time to turn this around.

No reason to believe this defense won't get better as the year goes on. Let the young guys develope and the vets get used to playing in a new system.

It should have been. It was the perfect time.

once they signed the contract with cooper and hired McCarthy that nullified it.

this is a three year window of going for it. Maybe a two year window.

I'm not sure Jerry would ever sign up for that....

Plus they have several older guys on one year deals.

That all said, I dont fully disagree with what you're saying. They arent ready to win defensively.

I DO wish that by seasons end guys like Biadasz and McG are starters, and Anae and Gallimore have established themselves as guys that can be part of the DL rotation moving ahead.

I dont think this team can do much until they get a LB or two that can fly around and make plays, along with a centerfielder type leader/enforcer.

While I believe that teams are in a constant motion of rebuilding I have to agree with regard to the defense. Until we stop drafting players "with potential, injury concerns/histories, or gambles" we're never going to have a great defense. And that's just the linebackers.
We haven't drafted and early defensive tackle worth a crap in decades.

Of course they are trying to win, but realistically its going to take some defensive additions to get there.

Things can change, like maybe 90 pulling his head out his ***, or 54 grabbing a clue somehow, or the Utah duo gets a shot and inspires others...maybe 37 still has a chance to do something (although I'm getting close to abandoning that pipe dream)...

I will agree its rebuilding year for the defense. Seems like its always that.

offense to some degree we are rebuilding the Oline. But that's been going on for a while too.

I couldn't agree more, on the defensive side far more than the offense. Dallas desperately needs some talent on the defense, preferably young and cheap.

There's going to me a mass exodus of defenders next year, as far as expiring contracts go. A ton of one year rentals and expiring deals.

Jerry Jr is in charge of jersey sales (because McDonald's wont have him).

Defensive tackles dont sell jerseys.
