Eagles rookie WR Jalen Reagor (who has played well) has a UCL tear in his thumb. He'll be out for 4 weeks. The injury bug has also hit other parts of the Eagles team, particularly their oline (Seumalo to IR, Brooks and Dillard are OUT for the year, and Lane Johnson is nicked up). The Eagles next six games are:

vs Bengals
@ 49ers
@ Steelers
vs Ravens
vs Giants
vs Cowboys

They could very easily be 2-5 when we face them in Week 8.

Considering the Eagles internal issues and difficult upcoming schedule, and Saquon Barkley is OUT for the year, are we looking at a Washington vs Dallas battle for the division? Can Washington win the division with solely their dline and Terry McLaurin? Their dline has 11 sacks in the first two games.

Idk, to me, it feels like we should be in the driver's seat for this division if our defense can just settle in a bit.

If the Eagles don't win this week, there season could be over by the time we play them. They have a rough group 49er, Steelers and Raven in 3 weeks. The 49ers may be a little easier given their injury status but if they lose to the Bengals this week, they just may implode.

Washington will come back to earth. they have the Browns Ravens and Rams as their next 3 and just lost to AZ.

Giants just aren't ready to be contenders

This division is our for the taking if we don't just lay an egg like we did the last half of last year.

That 49ers game could be a real swing game for them. They'll probably beat the Bengals. The assumption was always that they'd lose out there in San Fran but San Fran is looking pretty injured at this point.

I think the bigger issue for the Birds is Wentz's play and the recent report of teammates and coaches ignoring him on the sidelines.

There was an odd exchange Monday in Pederson's press conference. A reporter asked him why Wentz seems to be regressing and Pederson said "well that's a good question....."

Pederson comes from the Andy Reid tree and Reid was notorious to deflect and not blame players. The fact Pederson seemed to hang Wentz out to dry with that answer raised some eyebrows in the media around here.

Did you hear Sal Paolantonio recent comments? If true surprised is not making more headlines.

Is it me or is the injury bug particularly crazy this year?

The loss of games due to injuries could never be more true than this year in determining team success.

May the last healthy team standing prevail.

"Or" the best at overcoming/managing their injuries I guess.

Go Cowboys

If you're referring to his appearance on ESPN the other day, I did. He inferred the players on the team are fed up with Wentz. He really had no evidence of this other than reading body language on the sidelines. Who knows.... But it was interesting coming from Sal who is usually always pro-Eagles.

first place still doesn't say much. It's the usual one and done in the playoffs. So winning the division isn't good enough for me as Jerry continues to run this team into the ground.

Yep. He is commenting on body language. It is a fair point though if everyone is ignoring him, though they could be giving him space. You really do not see coaches do that though.

Here is a youtube video of the segment. Starts around 1:53.

Cowboys players didnt slap hands with Garrett last season. Body language said they quit. The season shows that.
