Is ball controlling the bleep out of Seattle possible?

That's how we won that 2014 game against them when we weren't expected to. Our O-line dominated and we ran Murray a lot. The defense was then able to hold its own, not being on the field constantly. Plus, there were a few lucky bounces.

I know it's six years later and we don't have the same line, but can a similar strategy work? Can our offense manage to pig up the time, keeping the ball out of Wilson's hands as much as possible?

Pretty sure they had a much better defense back then, so yeah, I think it's definitely possible. They don't have much to brag about on defense this year.

I think we can outscore them if our D can play even 25٪ better. I'd go for broke on Sunday honestly.

I don't feel great about our chances. We're outmatched to the point where doing some gambling probably makes sense, something like a Hail Mary at the end of the half, flea flickers, halfback passes. I don't think we can win a close-to-the-vest game. Seattle is the superior team.

It's frustrating. I wasn't expecting a top 5 defense, but I thought they would be a lot better than this.

This team isn’t worried about TOP.....they want to run more plays now. More plays equals more chances to score.

I agree. Ball control . Eat up 8,9,10 minutes on every offensive possession and conclude with TDs instead of FGs. Wilson has proved he can win in a shootout. The only reason why I am giving Cowboys a shot because Century Link will not have 70,000 people and the decibel meter will be less.

Seattle's secondary is beat up and they've allowed over 400 yards passing in both games.

They would be thrilled to see Zeke plowing up the gut for 4 yards a pop.

I do think Dak will be able to pass against them, but Seattle's really going to be able to pass against us, and it's doubtful we can beat Wilson in a shootout. But we'll see. They actually have to play the game, and there could be surprises. I will not be placing a bet in Vegas on a Cowboys victory, but you never know for sure what will happen.

I don't see why controlling TOP and being productive offensively would not produce a good outcome for the Cowboys. Unfortunately, they seem to kill themselves with penalties the more plays a drive takes.

This game will be a shoot out. Neither team's defense is the '85 Bears. In fact, I would say the team with the ball last will probably win and we better hope that isn't Russell Wilson.

Maybe If we had Tyron , La’el , and Leary. Conner Williams has been getting wrecked. He isn’t a guard in this league. Seems like more of a Center to me.

One of the best defenses against Wilson is keeping the ball out of his hands. So lots of zeke and pollard is a great idea in theory. Doing it is another thing.

The only way we beat Seattle is by scoring often. I bet the old Moore is back...

I'd come out firing, personally. Pick them apart with the passing game.
As long as the line can give Dak enough time to throw, I think that's their best chance to win.
Hope the defense can get a couple of stops and maybe get out to a lead.
Likely? I don't know. I just know the typical Garrett conservative approach will get us beat.
Particularly important to pass often on first downs.
