Is ball controlling the bleep out of Seattle possible?

Seattle's secondary is beat up and they've allowed over 400 yards passing in both games.

They would be thrilled to see Zeke plowing up the gut for 4 yards a pop.
I agree with you, but to be honest, it sounds great in the first quarter, but by midway through the third, seeing Zeke still coming at you as a defender cannot be something you would look at with any enthusiasm. I know I wouldn't.

You do both ... You put up your best weapon ala Dak Prescott ...and what you do best - pass the ball ..
.but you also want a balanced mixture...that's adding a zeke bell cow attack.

- We won't get the game breaking home runs we used to per 2016 from zeke but as a physical punishing bell cow when the touches and oppotunites come,
Zeke will our version of Beast- mode nowadays.

- Just going to ball control run is also watering the offense down and going conservative ..and that's still a Kellen Moore flaw when going On the Road

- Seattle is among one of the worst pass defenses in the league and
you don't shy away from punching them in the mouth simple because of a fear factor of russell wilson

That's how we won that 2014 game against them when we weren't expected to. Our O-line dominated and we ran Murray a lot. The defense was then able to hold its own, not being on the field constantly. Plus, there were a few lucky bounces.

I know it's six years later and we don't have the same line, but can a similar strategy work? Can our offense manage to pig up the time, keeping the ball out of Wilson's hands as much as possible?
I'm going to bet if the 'Boys go with that strategy of many plays to score and gain TOP, they're going to inevitably make a drive-ending mistake before any TD's.
A holding penalty here.
A dropped pass there.
A miscommunication.

Just try to score as efficiently as possible as many times as you're allowed.

I think we should go down there and just play offense, defense and special teams.

That's why we are fans and not part of the product which is the players and their coaches.

The Seattle Seahawks can get the ball shoved down their throats even more than we can.

We're 5.5 point underdogs and I love it.

We were down 20 points after our own inadequacies player 60 minutes to the second and end up winning.

All I know is that is what this team is since the last time I saw them and this is the first time I have seen this team that thick skinned since NFC championship game against the 9ers in the 90's.

That includes the Parcells era.

Let go down there and run our game plan. Our program. Our game of football.

The Seahawks. In several weeks that division is going to start eating each other up and before that happens let's go there and play some football.

Up tempo on both sides of the ball and let's see if Bones can jack em up to get the return game going.

Aldon Smith 2 sacks, Everson Griffen 1. Diggs gets his first INT.

Crack some heads.

Through 2 weeks they are second in the league in run defense.
I haven't scouted them this year by seeing them play. Is the run defense really good or have teams passed on them instead of running, because they could?

The Patriots didn’t run much. Cam was their leading rusher but they did hold Sony In check for 2.9 ypc on 7 rushes.

A good gauge would be the Atlanta game since it is a common opponent: Gurley had 14 carries for 54 yards and a TD against Seattle.

Compare that to the Cowboys where Gurley rushed 21 times for 61 yards and 0 TDs.

So the aren’t bad but they also haven’t had a heavy dose of running take place by a RB either. Will be interesting to see how they measure up today.

As you indicated, the Cowboys don’t have the same dominance in the O-Line as 2014, and that was a huge key to being able to control time of possession. The offense seems to stagnate these days when going too conservative, and realistically Seattle’s defense is vulnerable. I know a shootout doesn’t seem to favor the Cowboys, but I think putting handcuffs on the offense will be worse.

That D isn't stopping Russel Wilson - the only thing that is going to stop him is the clock and an offense that keeps his behind on the bench. I'm talking about a slow methodical offense that takes 12 minutes to march down the field and put up 7. Do that is gasses their defense while not leaving time to operated for Seattle's offense.

Problem with that is what I bolded. Our offensive line is no dominate. If we had a healthy tyron, collins and fredrick back on that online. Wasn't big powerful Leary our guard then? Man we had a oline.
Smith, Leary, Frederick, Martin and Free.

The same logic may not work, Seattle offense Is not the same this year, high powered passing offense, and we have suspect defense with no pass rush and suspect secondary. They can score quick. But we can too.

will come down to TOs, special team play and which defense plays well in crucial moments .

We don’t have the same OL we had in 2014. It was arguably the best in the entire league that season. We’re going have to put the ball up and score some points.

The Seahawks are going to be bent on stopping Zeke. Our defense is going to be challenged keeping Wilson and company out of the endzone. They’re going to be looking to attack our injury riddled secondary. The game is likely to be a duel between Wilson and Dak unless we’re so focused on containing Wilson they gash us with the run all day. We were so focused on stopping Aaron Rodgers last season that Aaron Jones went off for 185 yards in 4 TDs. Seattle would love to keep our offense off the field with the weapons we have at wide receiver.

Yea, they will most likely start stacking the box at the get go instead of letting Zeke have his way. It's going to be up to Dak to hit those throws early and often.
