first place still doesn't say much. It's the usual one and done in the playoffs. So winning the division isn't good enough for me as Jerry continues to run this team into the ground.
It's the first goal of every team in the NFL as it gets you in the dance. So it does mean something. Hopefully this new staff will perform better in the playoffs.

Cowboys should definitely cruise to an easy win in this lousy division.

And I do think Washington will be the second place finisher. That D line is so good. But Haskins isn't that great and probably never will be.

BTW, don't need to be the stat sites to see that Wentz has stunk. Misses way too many easy passes, even when not pressured.

One of my best friends is a die-hard Eagles fan and he can't believe how inaccurate Wentz is at this point of his career.
He keeps mentioning "kill-passes" in that when he does throw a catchable pass to his WR's, it's putting them open to a killshot and they're not appreciative of it.

Is it me or is the injury bug particularly crazy this year?
The injury bug would have occurred much earlier had there been preseason. That's what makes it seem crazy. 2020 is almost in our rear view mirror.

I'm sorry, but Wentz is winging throws at this point in his career and there's dupes like @PAPPYDOG that would trade half the team for Captain KillThrow because he doesn't know any better.

Eagles rookie WR Jalen Reagor (who has played well) has a UCL tear in his thumb. He'll be out for 4 weeks. The injury bug has also hit other parts of the Eagles team, particularly their oline (Seumalo to IR, Brooks and Dillard are OUT for the year, and Lane Johnson is nicked up). The Eagles next six games are:

vs Bengals
@ 49ers
@ Steelers
vs Ravens
vs Giants
vs Cowboys

They could very easily be 2-5 when we face them in Week 8.

Considering the Eagles internal issues and difficult upcoming schedule, and Saquon Barkley is OUT for the year, are we looking at a Washington vs Dallas battle for the division? Can Washington win the division with solely their dline and Terry McLaurin? Their dline has 11 sacks in the first two games.

Idk, to me, it feels like we should be in the driver's seat for this division if our defense can just settle in a bit.

Washington is not a division contender. They’ll win 5-6 games.

Washington might compete with the Cowboys...a DL can get your team far... remember the Giants SB runs?.

Wentz wants to go to IND with Frank Riech (they need somebody too), and the team wants Jalen Hurts to be QB-ing the pigeons.

I think Dallas takes the division, barely.

I believe we’ll be the worst division in the league with the AFCE being a somewhat close 2nd. Wouldn’t surprise me if we could take it with 7 wins although I’m sticking by my 13-3 prediction.

That D line was MIA against AZ. I’ll be curious to see how they pan out and if the Philthy game was more a result of Philthy’s O line and QB problems more than Warshingtons D line.

I called (and bet on) the Washington upset and I’ll calling it again this week. The Bengals are going to beat them in a close one.

They could lose every one of those games. 6-10 wins the NFC EAST this year.

The Eagles are cooked. They have taken the mantle from Washington for being the most injured team in the league. I guess an NFCE team always has to be the most injured, seems that way. The Eagles actually had some nice runs when Lane Johnson played, but if he is out they have no chance. He is the real difference maker on that O-line.

And Wentz might be the next Jeff George--tons of talent, can't get it right on the field.

The one thing I will add is it’s early. The Eagles have started slow before. Even last year. But they got right in time and won the division. So while i say it’s ours to win it’s really to early to write the Eagles off.
