Football illiteracy at its finest folks.

It has already been noted that there are 2 simple facts about playaction passing
  1. It is far more effective than non-playaction passes
  2. The strength or weakness of the team's running game makes virtually no difference in the effectiveness of playaction passes
https://www.footballoutsiders.com/stat-analysis/2018/rushing-success-and-play-action-passing

Then on to your usual hate of Dak Prescott. Dak was only 6th in the NFL in playaction pass attempts in 2019, but was 3rd in playaction pass attempt yards. Yet even if you subtract all his PA attempt yards (1239) from his total passing yards (4902), he still averages 228+ passing yards per game.

https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2019/passing_advanced.htm

While missing Zeke obviously hurts the offense because he is a great player, if you compare what happens when Zeke is out vs when Tyron Smith has been out, then you will start to see an even more telling fact that offensive line play is the driving force behind this team's success. (Big surprise </sarcasm>)

But hey, facts be damned when trying to discount a player or person you don't like.

And this folks is why emotions make people look like fools.

Dak and Zeke are exceptional performers, but the quarterback position is the most impactful on the team. Dak is very durable as well but you have to give the nod to Zeke since his style of running is the most physical at his position.

Zeke has two rushing TD's this year and Dak has 4. Let that sink in for a minute.

Two players on this team we can say are going to HOF. Tyron Smith almost a lock but appears on decline because of chronic injury. The other is Zack Martin who is on the path to the HOF. Martin is still the best player on this team currently IMO.

I agree with that, maybe Dak is 2nd place. Zeke has been real solid and durable

Zeke impacts the game more than any LB, Guard, DE, CB in the game.
The best DE in the league completely disappears on about 70% of snaps. The best CB disappears on 50% at least.

A generational 3 down RB impact the game more than these guys and I don’t think it’s even all that close.

we can argue shelf life but honestly what again play who isn’t a QB ages well anymore?

Where is a generational RB because its not Zeke.

He’s not worth the money in my book, but only because of the position he plays. He’s a great all-around back, though.
so even at the bargain of 31.5mil for Dak , note sarcasm, Zekes not worth 14? thats more thrn 50% les sthen Dak..lmao think , not with emotions or as if its your money

zeke makes less then

Dak Half as much
less then Tank -cant atop laughing
less then AC- still is that fair? hmm thinking not
close to the same as Jsmith a bit more but is it even that close to whom is a better player?

thats just on our team look around the league....

Zeke doesnt miss game due to injury even though he plays more snaps then ANY skill position player around the league, going on 5 years now, it may happen someday and he is still proving hes one of the best on our team if not the best its debatable and still top back..

right not worth his contract..lmao

stop seeing him as a RB and just a 3 down well rounded and adaptable productive player..

He gives you your best chance to win..
I would like to see him break loose in the open field more though.
He can and most likely will lead the league in rushing just on ground and pound alone.

Derrick Henry is only 15 yards ahead of Zeke with 12 more carries.
Aaron Jones had like an 80 yard TD last week.

Actually, less Zeke is more. This team struggles when it features Zeke and not Dak. Those are the facts.

No one cares about leading the league in rushing anymore, but even so, Henry will win that.

LOL...………….and you sound silly...…………….Aaron Jones had 160 yards rushing and 2 TD's last week and added another 60 yards receiving and a TD.

Give me Aaron Jones over Zeke all day. TD machine and can score from anywhere on the field. And he doesn't need 350 touches a year to get his.

no, Zeke isn't worth it by a long shot and his production can be replaced. And you probably get the addition of big play ability and a better receiving game out of your backs.

Zeke gets his yards because he gets a lot of touches. He is NOT an efficient back or scoring back.

When he has an offensive line of 2016 then I will ask him for 2016 performance.
Why does he have to have the best offensive line? RBs around the league create things on their own. too. He even admitted he isn’t looking for the home run, he is looking to punish. How about evade defenders like he did on the TD reception instead of looking to hit them as hard as he can? Teams aren’t even stacking the box anymore.

I've been critical. He has definitely come into seasons out of shape. He looked like he had lost a step. But he is easily the best player on this team. He is a good to great runner, a pretty good pass catcher, a great blocker and helps to keep the team organized on the field. He is worth the money.

This! BUT waiting on you know who to make his appearance on this thread. LOL

8 man fronts don't usually occur when a team has 3 wide receivers on the field.
Especially when the 3 receivers are considered good to really good.

I think the thing to look into when talking about running into loaded boxes is what formation the offense was in for his runs and how many defenders were in the box too.
7 defenders in the box vs a 11 formation isn't much different than 8 men in the box vs a 21 or 12 offensive formation. The defense will still have 1 "free" defender.

134 yards.

Actually that was my bad. The site I looked at I looked at the first games from the top of the list without looking at the dates and just assumed that the top of the list was week 1 when it really was week 17. Again my bad.

Dude, do you ever get tired of being wrong all the time? Elliott ran for 51 yards against the Giants in Week 1 of 2016 and 83 against Washington in Game 2. That adds up to 134 yards. Which is less than the 185 yards he has now.

I already admitted I was wrong and how it happened.

Would you take Martin if we had Aikman or Staubach or Romo? Curious.

Aikman and Roger are in the Hall so no. I think Martin will be there. Romo yes. I liked Tony but many overrate him here.

I think Zeke is the second best player. Then Dak.
