This is why I don't like PFF. I like what they attempt to do, but no amount of metrics can convince me that 35 WRs are playing better than Amari, 78 are playing better than Lamb, and 8 RBs are playing better than Zeke.

It's garbage that's only informative to football simpletons.

Lawrence's contract has him as the 3rd highest paid DE , and he's ranked AT FIFTY.............

Its not just Lawrence. Thomas and Woods are the lowest paid guys on the team and they are the highest ranked at their positions. Zack Martin and Tyron Smith are ranked incredibly low....Jaylon is....I think Zeke and Dak are solid where they are at. There's a lot of guys not earning their check.....its just 2 games though.

I can believe it. Its only been 2 weeks and there's been a lot of production at the receiving position. Calvin Ridley for instance....I like Lamb and Cooper better than him but neither is playing better than him right now.

The only time I kind of side eye PFF is on Zeke. For whatever reason he never grades well and I question what metrics they even use him.

How many other running backs did you watch play a full game for the last two weeks? Serious question.

Unfortunately , Lawrence was also incredibly weak last season ; can't say that about Martin and Smith.........

No but Lawrence was also hurt last year. I mean I'm not going to argue against him being overpaid. He will never live up to that contract. As of now though its not a question of talent its a question of his body seems to be breaking down on him. Which the same can be said for Tyron.

There was just a thread last week or the week before with PFF fluffing zeke and all his fan boys were eating it up, where are they now?

See the one constant here? As some of us have been saying for years, zeke’s stats don’t support him being a top 5 back and in many cases a borderline top 10 back.

wittle zeke demanded respect and said “check the stats, stats don’t lie.” Unfortunately he’s too dumb to know his own stats because if he did he would know why he doesn’t get the respect he thinks he deserves.

Stats don’t lie according to zeke and 99% of the football watching world except the 1% of zeke fan boys who have an excuse for everything and ultimately resort to the “eye test” because they can barely find any stats that support their stance on him.

I mean you've already stated that with you its personal with Zeke so there's no point in going back and forth about Zeke.

You went out of your way to talk about McCaffery and Saquon and both are currently not playing and when they were they weren't doing anything spectacular anyway lol.

I'll end on this......

Since 2016.....every year there's a new guy you guys say is the best back in the league. But no one has been more productive than Zeke in that same span. And based on how things are starting off this year? That' won't change.

I wish PFF were reliable. I really wish we had an objective grading system that was accurate - taking into account schemes and techniques in addition to end result. One that was fairly administered across the board without human bias and judgement. It's asking a lot. PFF does its best to try to be that. But trying your best doesn't always equate to completing the objective, just ask Nick Hayden. The end result is the grades and resulting rankings are still pretty arbitrary.

Here you go right on time lol.......
And...? You actually beat me to it champ. Ohhhhhh...I get it, his jock sniffers can defend him all day long and call the stats crap but as soon as someone supports the same stats that zeke himself said “don’t lie”, which have shown that he’s not a top 5 back in most categories, then we’re wrong and are the bad guys for not blindly supporting the biggest punk bully diva on the team.

Makes about as much sense as his fan boys claiming the stats are crap.

Zeke is the most complete back in the game.
Blocking, running, passing game on point.
Reliable

He does get short hands in the passing game once in awhile though

I don't think anyone defended or really said anything negative about Zeke. No one really does until you show up lol. You've stated its personal with you. So you can talk about the jock sniffers or the haters but you are the only one who admitted its personal. You and Cowboysroy.

Stop talking about "we" as if there's a large group of Anti-Zeke guys. Its just you and another poster lol.

That's because gentlemen like yourself don't realize that the end result of the play doesn't matter to the grade. It focuses just on that player for that play good or bad.
"The grading system was founded on the principle of grading “production” rather than traits or measurables, but perhaps a better way to describe it is a player’s “contribution to production” on a given play." (from PFF)
This sounds more like a eye test and with measurables that can change weekly and are graded by different people and are known to the graders only. Not sure at this point how I feel about PFF.

PFF employs over 600 full or part-time analysts, but less than 10% of analysts are trained to the level that they can grade plays. Only the top two to three percent of analysts are on the team of “senior analysts” in charge of finalizing each grade after review. Our graders have been training for months, and sometimes years, in order to learn, understand and show mastery of our process that includes our 300-page training manual and video playbook. We have analysts from all walks of life, including former players, coaches and scouts. We don’t care if you played.

Each grade is reviewed at least once, and usually multiple times, using every camera angle available, including All-22 coaches’ tape.

I know Jordan Palmer ex QB does PFF grading. They stick to a simple system and every player is graded exactly the same.
