What's your honest opinion on him?

Do you have faith that this is simply a temporary rut or do you have the same doubts others do?

nothing’s changed really, something’s slightly off with his accuracy every 6th throw or so, he missed some deep balls he should have hit week 1, and both i the were short. but saying Wentz is the reason why our D has given up 70 points so far is a little much

Defensive issues aside, I don't think Wentz is playing well at all.

58% completions, 2 touchdowns to 4 int's, 250 yds/game, and a 64% QBR.

And some of his decisions have been real head-scratchers.

Yeah I'm not a fan of the guy but even I can admit that he was never this bad. This is uncharacteristic of him and something looks completely off. He got better weapons and got worse somehow?

14-2 is still technically possible

You putting money on that?

Yeah, it's weird. He was very good in 17, was that just the one year wonder thingie? Are the injuries causing the dropoffs?

Because too many so called Cowboy fans hate there own players more than rival players.

Teenage girls and millennials “hate” people......adults critique players on the merit of their play and leave personal feelings out of the equation. How can we hate someone whom we’ve never met or interacted with?

Separating the two will lead to meaningful dialogue. Equating hating a player to critiquing a player is fruitless at best and juvenile at worst.......most people know this but interject “Hating” to create a straw man that doesn’t exist.

Yeah, that's some nice spin. Wentz has been pretty horrible to date this season. No, he's not responsible for the defense stinking through two games but other than the first 20 or so minutes of the Skins game, he's not been a very good QB.

Man I'll behonest...watching Wentz play now....you can almost see him mentally overthinking things. I didn't see much of him in college but he never came across as a stupid quarterback but he's playing like one. I know he has a bit of a gunslinger in him but he's not playing smart.

This does feel like RGIII all over again.

They have no receivers and no OL. Wentz hasn't played well, but it's not like you can realistically grade him.[/QUOTE

Jalen Reagor
Greg Ward
Dallas Goeddert
Zack Ertz
Miles Sanders
Their wr's are fine. Wentz just blows

I attribute a lot of his decreases on the changes in coaching. Firstly, I don't think Wentz has been the same since Frank Reich left to take the Colts job. Secondly, I know that the team has been shuffling assistants in and out since. That's not good for any quarterback.

And I also don't think that Philadelphia is the easiest place to play in. That fanbase turns on people fast. And what kind of an organization pipes in boo's of their quarterback into their own stadium?

I was wondering if anyone had posted this. A lot of damning numbers and information there. I can't see them benching Wentz this year, especially not for Hurts. He's not close to being ready. And if you pull the plug on Wentz, I don't think there's any way of going back if Hurts turns out to be worse. For better or worse, I think they stick with Wentz, right up until the 'out' portion of his contract kicks in. That was put in there for a reason.

They are stuck with Wentz. They have serious cap issues the next 2 years. 2022 in particular could be very challenging for them because several of the contracts Howie signed are for older players and pushed the money to that year. Dead cap space will be huge for any of those players if they were cut. He will be forced to take a hit or restructure contracts for old players.

Yeah Reich and Difillipo both leaving seemed really hurt him.....crazy that Difillipo was out there this offseason and didn't get hired back on. I'm starting to wonder if Peterson really the QB guru he was painted as.

It just doesn't seem like Wentz is the long-term solution.... he doesn't appear all that well-liked by the team personally. He has some talent, but there's just stuff missing. So do they keep him in knowing it's going to probably throw the season away, or put in Hurts before he's ready? Tough decision.

I believe that was because Wentz had issues with him.

Wentz has the potential to be another RG3 albeit to a lesser degree. The injuries, poor technique, reading defenses, and staring down a target. Add in the reported lockerroom issues and not getting along with position coaches.

Awfully bad start.

Can't say I've ever been a Wentz defender, but he's kind of facing a situation like Dak was in that stretch in 2017.
You know, the one where we broke every Cowboy record in offensive ineptitude.

During that 3 game stretch, when the line was beaten up, the run game was stalled, and WR core was weak, Dallas failed to score over 10 points in any game and Dak had 0 TDs and 5 ints and about a 55 QB rating over the stretch.

But yeah, something is off with Wentz right now.

Either way, it sure seems like a lot of threads throwing it in the face of that tiny fraction of Wentz lovers.
In fact, I think the list of Dak haters is tiny as well.
