Lockett is a middle of the pack WR1 and rookie Metcalf was a belpw average WR2, which is to be expected of a rookie.
Metcalf had 900 yards as a ROOKIE. Mind you....coming into the league they said he was raw and would take years to develop so if that's "raw" then oh boy.........

I get what you're trying to do. You're trying to belittle his weapons by separating them but saying Lockette is a middle of the pack receiver 1 means nothing. You can argue that Gallup and Cooper are middle of the pack receiver 1's but that doesn't mean they aren't #1's. When you get past Julio, Evans, Odell, Thomas, etc. there's a list of 2nd tier number one receivers who are all of the same caliber.

You're proving my point.

You're emphasizing the point he was a rookie to try and make a point, but it's not working. He was a rookie and will get better.

Here you both go @kskboys @rocyaice

Lockett was 28th in yards per game and Metcalf was 44th in yards per game last season with Russell Wilson throwing them the ball and not a lick of competition to compete with.

You might think they were a top 10 duo last season, but you're simply wrong.

Hope this helps y'alll understand.

These stats are a bit off. Metcalf was not 44th in yards per game he was 34th and Lockette was 22nd. And if you take out the RB's and wide receivers they are even higher.

Doing a quit look at the stats.....I don't see many duos ranked higher...I see Jarvis and ODB and Gallup and Cooper......they were one of the most productive receiving duos last season.

Metcalf was a freak and as a rook and seriously balled. Already ranked 8th among #2 WR's.

I think they're better as a unit than you think.
Yeah he's not giving them enough credit like I said I think its because Lockette and Chris Carson aren't household names and MetCalf was a rookie but they played well last season. I'd rather have Zeke and our guys don't get me wrong but you can win with those guys. Hell they won more than our guys did lol.

I don't know where you're looking, but it is wrong.

But this all goes back to you saying all good QBs have loads of talent around them.

We know he didn't have a good defense
We know he didn't have a good OC
We know he had a bottom 3 OL
His RB is nothing special and RBs don't matter anyways
His TEs were nobody

His #1 WR wasn't a top half of #1's
His WR Corp was one of the worst in the league

So now we are having to argue that he had a good "WR duo" a duo who was 28th and 44th in receivi g yards per game.

You can see how none of this really matters, and he definitely didn't have a great set up around him.

I will agree to disagree.

My focus was just on the QBs under center since the question was about Dak haters. I know that Vrabel's coaching, Derrick Henry, the Titan offensive line and the defense led the Titans. Tannehill was a complementary part of the offense. He just made timely throws.

Smith-- Harbaugh called a great game vs the Saints. He gambled on the final drive. Many (including me) thought that Harbaugh was going for a FG with 10 seconds to go to tie. He had the balls to go for the win. Smith just managed the game like he was paid to do.

I have to interject here gentlemen. I was living in the Bay Area at that time and watched that game from start to finish. Alex Smith did a helluva lot more than "manage" that game. He threw for three TDs and ran for another. The 49ers threw it 46 (counting the 4 sacks) times and ran it 22. Smith went toe-to-toe with Brees and won. The other thing that gets forgotten about that season was that the following week in the NFC Championship he had the 49ers up 17-14 at the end of the game when their idiot punt returner muffed a punt to set the Giants up for a tying FG to send the game into OT. Then the same idiot punt returner committed the same sin in OT to set the Giants up for the win. THAT was the game he just manged.. and frankly they should have won that one. But if they had, two teams I hate equally would have been in the Super Bowl. And no matter which one won I wasn't going to be happy. With G-men in there beating the Pats I could at least revel in the Pats fans' misery!

Top 5 Wide Receiver duo....top 5-10 running back group.....offensive line is lacking no doubt and tight end leaves a lot to be desired. I see talent.

Nothing is going to change the mind of an idiot who thinks Dak sucks and that the Cowboys would be better off with a cast off at QB. If Dak wins the Super Bowl the Dak haters will say that Trent Dilfer, Brad Johnson, Mark Rypien and Jeff Hostetler won Super Bowl’s were they any good? If Dak wins the trifecta, a league MVP, Super Bowl and Super Bowl MVP the Dak haters will lay low and will be back bashing him again the following year every time we lose a game or if we don’t get back to the Super Bowl because you can’t fix stupid.

Diggs and Thielen didn't out perform Lockette and Metcalf. I know that for sure because Thielen got hurt last year....so I'm not gonna entertain them. Replace them with someone else...I agree with the other 4 though.

Nvm you just completely misread the table.

No lockett was not 22nd in yards per game. He was 22nd in yards, same with you misreading Metcalf
I'm just gauging the production they had last year. That was my point. The production they had in comparison to the rest of the league. If a guy got hurt then I can't say he performed better than a guy who played 15 games.
