Randy Moss was fined 10K for "mooning" the Green Bay fans after scoring a TD. To be perfectly accurate, he did not actually moon them. He mimicked the act without pulling his pants down. That little stunt cost him 10K as a fine from the NFL. It does make me wonder. If he had actually mooned them, would the fine have been higher? Would he have been suspended?

Joe Buck, announcing that game, said it best with: "That is a disgusting act by Randy Moss."

I remember at the time it happened I was watching, and I was really confused why they thought it was so vulgar. I remember growing up that people did the real thing as a prank and people generally thought it was funny, except those who go the full face.

I'm inclined to agree with Joe Buck. Even if Moss didn't do a real mooning, I considered what he did as equivalent to flipping the bird at the audience, something that's inappropriate and against the rules. IMO the league was right to fine Moss.

I still am confused how it is that vile. I mean Earl Thomas flipped off his own team and they probably didn't go crazy and think it was the worst insult ever. I do think it was stupid and childish but not deserving of a fine just a warning perhaps to knock it off or the fines will start with him.
