This week’s matchup with the Seahawks has some interesting situational stats for this Sunday’s matchup:
  • The Seahawks are 57-0 under Russell Wilson when leading by 4 points or more at the half. (Wow)
  • Russel Wilson is 13-6 in games throwing for 300+; 1-1 when throwing for 400+
  • Dak is 9-5 when throwing for 300+; 4-1 when throwing for 400+
  • Dak hasn’t thrown an interception in 6 games.
  • The Cowboys currently lead the NFL with 41 plays of 10+ yards.
  • The last time DeMarcus Lawrence got a sack was the last game Dak threw an int. (Vs Buffalo last Thanksgiving!)
  • The Cowboys have had the least amount of interceptions in NFL history over the last 10 years.
  • After two games, Russell Wilson has completed 82% of his passes.
  • Most wins by a starting QB since 2016:
    • Tom Brady- 48
    • Russell Wilson-42
    • Dak Prescott- 41
    • Drew Brees-40
This game Sunday should be a fun matchup and tell us a lot about the direction of this team so far.
Go Cowboys!

Don’t forget, Seattle leads the league in yards given up with almost 500 yards per game which is a large reason I’m picking us to win. If there’s a secondary worse than ours it just very well may be Seattle and don’t forget everyone said Adams can’t cover and safeties are over rated so I’m not worried about him. Their D line also got hit hard with injuries last week.

Protecting the ball will be key, no more 2 fumbles on 3 carries with one leading to a Seattle TD or that could cost us the game, we got lucky it didn’t last week.

Go Cowboys!

There is a tweet out there by Machota about this.

Cowboys offense 41 plays of 10 yards or more.
Seattle defense giving up 47 plays of 10 yards or more.

Thanks for all this - interesting indeed. It's also interesting to me that Dak has almost as many 300+ yard games as Wilson (19 to 21) even though Wilson has played almost twice as many games (66 - 130).

I think Sunday’s game is gonna be a track meet. First one to 50 wins, lol. Having said that, it would be just like an NFL game to see a 20-17 game, lol!

Yes give me a good defensive game, to a degree. I like the scoring, but not the shootouts. The team where a defense can make a stop, take away a possession from the other team is key to winning.

Yep. And this Sunday, the defense that gets a stop and/or holds the opponent to a FG vs a TD will probably win.

Actually Wilson has 19 and Dak has 14 because 5 of Dak’s 300+ games are 400 yards+ and 2 of Wilson’s are 400+. But your point is still a great one. Wilson came into the league in 2012 and Dak in 2016. Dak is a stud.

I’ll take it you verified your stats...

One thing that really stands out... last time D-Laugh had a sack.
To think there are still some on this site who still believe this clown is one of the best DE’s out there.

My stat sources are NFL.com, Jon Machota, and Babe Laufenberg, the latter two from their Twitter feed.

Another interesting stat:
  • In 5 career games against the Cowboys, Russell Wilson averages only 170 passing yds a game. I expect him to get more than that Sunday, but he hasn’t exactly been a Cowboys killer.

Should have let The Goat take FS from 2017 on. He was getting the knack for breaking on balls. Had the speed to get there and good hands to do something then he did.
