He's taking a lot of heat from the media this past week and deservedly so. He's been awful in both games so far. Wentz does not look comfortable in the pocket and rushes through his progressions. He has to be afraid of getting hit.

If the Bengals beat Philly Sunday and if it's even partly Wentz's fault, well, let's just say Wentz could very well be done as the Philly starting QB.
Carson rushes through his progressions while Dak is considered to be too slow in reading through his progressions. With our porous o line, I hope we do shorter drop backs for Dak to get rid of the ball quicker.

Stats this year do not support that conclusion.

Prescott has been sacked just 4 times compared to 8 for Wentz.

Taking a QB in round 2 when you have other holes says a lot. However, I don't think Wentz is in danger of losing his job this year sans an injury, but if at the half way point the Eagles are say 2-6 there will be quite a few calling for a change.

Count the sacks and qb hits as well. Imho, 4 sacks is too high for 2 games. That averages out to be 32 sacks for the season!

This is only coming as a surprise to people that thought Wentz was some kind of gift from God. This doesn't come as a surprise to any of us that never thought he was all that. He was a good QB at best. Subject to the same crap all QBs are when talent around them start to diminish. But there are a lot of us that seem to think if you're a good QB, your team should be 12-4 every year regardless. Case and point, people talking about Burrow being rookie of the year.

How many is 4 sacks per game like Wentz?
I am going to guess at it and say 64, since they won't answer the question.

Carr's record of 76 sack in a year is not in jeopardy. Wentz won't remain healthy enough to challenge the record.

I am betting he won't even get close to 50

I looked into his contract and the team is absolutely stuck with him until after the 2021 season. If they were to bench him, I don't think there's any way they could ever go back. So I can't see any way they do anything with him barring injury before the end of the 2021 season. They're stuck.

They have waaay too much invested to give up on him this season with THIS SEASON being the key. My guess is if he doesn't figure it out by the end of the season, he'll be on a short leash next year. Especially with Hurts waiting on the sideline. Hell, when you think about, maybe drafting Hurts was part of their exit plan for him anyway.

I think he gets this entire season at a minimum to turn things around. If things stay this bad or get worse? They might look to someone else next year. But even if they do, is Hurts that guy?

It's exactly why I said he'll be on a short leash......if he doesn't show out and look like the guy they want him to be by mid-next season, I think he THEN gets bench so they see what they have in Hurts. But in his defense, maybe he's starting to feel the pressure and trying to do too much.

Very strange player. Looks fantastic one game, and pathetic the next.

I feel bad for him, second pick overall in the draft, supposedly savior the of the franchise, playing in a tough city, having to watch his back up lead the team to a Super Bowl victory. His team is having to deal with injuries and he's not off to a very good start, you have to feel for the guy.

If Wentz had a good oline and receivers he might actually be good. Sanders is a great back and they dont feature him enough imo.

Past two weeks hasn't been terrible. We will be getting our WRs back real soon, though I wanna see more of this Fulgham kid. Sucks Ertz is taken out of every game since there is no one else to cover, really been killing my fantasy team.
