Heading into Week 3, Dak is ranked #5, #6, #6, and #8 by 4 sources. That averages out to (#5) overall, behind only Jackson, Rodgers, Mahomes, and Wilson.

I know it's still early, but the consensus now is that he's currently the #5 overall QB in the NFL. Not higher, not lower. The ones above him are certainly considered above him, and the ones below him are at least a step below.

How these forums remind one after we beat the Fins to finish our great start against 3 great DOG teams...
I hope we don't get hit by Dak reality by the season's end like last year?

After falling to 17 The week Before Dak rises 9 points to the 8th spot, getting back into the top 10.
So?

This to me is like Fantasy Football.

So what does it mean to us?

It's a fluctuating barometer showing the strength or weakness of what?

The player?

His team?

The opposition?

His coaches?

The refs?

I don't quite understand this data?

Went to the website and read the rankings. There are more variables in these determinations than there are parts on a Space Shuttle.

And people actually can understand this puffery?

Oh my.

Where he is ranked #8 is not accurate. He should be ranked at least 6th on that. He has outperformed Tannehill and Cam Newton for sure.

Math is not your strong suit I see. 4 sources you say and then you say 5, 6, 6, 8. That means (5+6+6+8)/2 = 6.25. And then there is the fact that 4 sources is hardly a big enough sample to have consensus

Ah, it's so fun debating technicalities with someone who labels me a troll.

But if you'll count the rankings for the other QBs, Dak is at #5 and that's what I meant. I didn't mean his raw score was 5, just relative to the other QBs.

what you are saying doesn't make sense, or you are using the tactic of trying to obfuscating things. You said according to 4 sources that Dak ranks 5, 6, 6 and 8. all these ranking would rank him relative to other QBs. if you want to find out where Dak ranks relative to all 4 of those ranking you would obviously (the sum of Dak's Rankings)/(the number of sources) and there is no way that Dak would rank 5 if all the other rankings rank him at a lower grade. You're just one of those Dak homers who is not acting in good faith in this post trying to obfuscate things into saying that Dak is a Top 5 QB, when in this case your data says otherwise.

You have no idea how fun it is debating technicalities with you. :p

His raw score is 6.25, but ahead of the next guy who has a raw score of 7. Dak with a 6.25 is 5th best. Get it? I'm done.

I had the same initial reaction as the others, but I picked up on what you explained pretty quickly thereafter. For what it’s worth, I get what you are saying.

Well if you do want to go along those lines to rank him, then 4 sources is hardly enough sources to get a good rating. I mean, why did you stop at four sources, or even choose *those* four sources, unless you want to shape the results to your liking?

Well if you want to play it his game why don't you come up with 4 of your own sources to shape your own opinion?

4 is a good sample size in my opinion. So we await your 4 other sources that debunk what the OP posted.

Uh huh, sure you have 3 of the 4 polls agreeing that Dak is not top 5 as in they rated him 6, 6, 8. So lets come up with another way to say that Dak is top 5 for no reason but to to elevate someone man crush back to the top 5 because it makes them feel all tingly inside. And then next week when the same method fails to put Dak in the top 5 find a different method to get him there. The main point is the result for the method describe above will vary greatly depending on which ratings you pick. And why would you fathom that doing that is more accurate that taking the average? Explain please.

Frankly I don't agree with him ranked #8. He is surely better than Cam Newton and Tannehill. That makes him around #6. Maybe if you makes you feel better by saying his rank #6 rather than #5? It's funny that people can cheer for the Cowboys and not cheer for Dak don't you think?
