Its pretty obvious they don't follow the above because if they did a ton of acts wouldn't be in {including Green Day}.

That doesn't make sense, as they are in. They used that criteria you listed, so apparently, they think they should be in.

Opinions vary. I don't really pay much attention to HoF inductions, with the exception of the NFL, and even that isn't real important to me. Music in particular is subjective, and when Jethro Still (as much as I do love the band) got the Grammy for Best Heavy Metal Album or whatever it was, over Metallica, I realized nobody knows what the Hell they're doing.
Opinions and vary and differ. However, when they differ from mine, they are no longer opinions. They are misguided and erroneous assumptions.

There is no connection between the R&R HOF and R&R.

Is that his wife's name? She looks either Filipino or Thai to me.

Edit: Just looked her up. Born in Hong Kong. Doesn't mean she isn't Filipino or Thai, but there ya go.
Her name has grown on me. I think it fits her. I never signed up for Instagram before but have thought about doing so to see more of her page. That darn signup message pops up when you start scrolling down the page and...

Dang it. I think Etty Lau has become my Amber Heard. :(

People blur the line between their opinion and the artist's significance in the musical world. I think that top 5 list sucks, by opinion, but I understand how they were influential to the history and evolution of music. Just like when people threw a fit with the inclusion of Run DMC (or any hip-hop artist) into a "Rock and Roll" Hall of Fame. They're clearly missing the point and solely judging from inside their own little box bounded by their own taste in music.

The top 5 selling albums of all time don't have one of their albums on it and one was a total surprise to me.

The Eagles Greatest Hits '71-'75 38M
Thriller - Michael Jackson 33M
Hotel California Eagles 26M
The White Album Beatles 24M
Greatest Hits Billy Joel 23M
Led Zeppelin IV 23M
The Wall Pink Floyd 23M

The biggest surprise to me is The White Album, I wouldn't have picked that to be in the top 5 of their albums. They did 3 greatest hits albums and they had some hits and Sgt. Pepper is considered a landmark album.

The album to ride the charts for the longest in history, Dark Side of the Moon couldn't crack the top 20.

But if you want an eye opener and verification that you ain't in the mainstream, and damned happy about that, you wouldn't guess what album sits at #10 with 21M. Cracked Rearview Mirror Hootie and the Blowfish. My friends, the end of days cannot be far off and we deserve it!

So Green Day is in? But Jane's Addiction isn't.
Lost any and all use for the RRHOF for making Rush wait so long. Alex Lifeson gave the greatest induction speech EVER...it was a thing of beauty...

Neil Peart was asked his thoughts on not being inducted and simply stated "big deal, we play to sold-out shows worldwide "...that's all the vaildation he needed.

My top 5 changes weekly. In reality, those lists are subjective.

Sgt. Peppers deserves to be number 1 and is generally always at the top of my list.
