Yes they're terrible and we miss Jeff Heath. Idk why you're not using this opportunity to point this out lol.
:laugh:Heath fell off last year but 3-4 years ago he was the truth!

And I know you said Donovan Wilson was a jag since he couldnt beat out Thompson supposedly but i dont buy it until I see it because people said the same about Heath not being able to beat out Wilcox.

Nobody would take Beasley over John Brown realistically. Buffalo doesnt even think it because Beasley gets paid less than Brown lol. And how are you going to assume my post is made to protect Dak? smh.

And? Nobody would take their WR trio over ours.. What is your point?

How was Beasley treated here, with Dak? Beasley has performed ever since he’s been with Josh Allen.”, while he became a scapegoat for Dak. Why is Beasley second on the team in receptions?

Like what’s your point? My post was that Allen is lighting up defenses, while our defense is used as a scapegoat for Dak.. Defenses are getting lit up regularly..

Our defense is bad and our secondary is an absolute joke! We have the Keystone cops back there. A comedy of errors with players getting beat, blown coverages and penalties. Everyone keeps talking up Diggs but he’s been toasted repeatedly in every game we’ve played this season. The only play he made yesterday was knocking the ball free after getting beat by Metcalf for what should have been a TD. Diggs has potential but he has a long way to go. This trial by fire may have his confidence toasted by the end of the season. This is the worst Cowboys secondary I can remember since maybe the early 2000s.

Let's not act like this defense isn't letting teams march up and down the field either. This is a bad take.

Even without the turnovers yesterday they still gave up 3 TDs and would have been 4 if it weren't for Diggs punching the ball out. This defense still leaves WRs wide open and then rarely gets 3 and outs or turnovers. While they play bend but don't break defense which will never work going against the better QB's such as Russell WIlson.

Not bc he couldn't beat out Thompson, it's because he has stiff hips. His lateral movement is severally limited. He is more of a backup box safety like Kavon Frazier. That's where he excelled with A&M.

The problem with the Dallas defense is two fold. They give up points on blown assignments but are also getting just flat our beat in the secondary

Even if we were to clean up the blown assignments(not surprising given the amount of turnover and no pre-season) we'll still have WRs beating us straight up like we've seen countless times the last two weeks.

That's false. In the Seattle game, the Seahawks had 11 possessions with normal field position (following a Cowboys punt or kickoff AKA not from a turnover). Out of those 11, they only drove down the field and scored TDs on 3 of those possessions. The rest were all punts or the Metcalf turnover. (3/11).

https://www.espn.com/nfl/playbyplay?gameId=401220363

In the Atlanta game, the Falcons had 7 possessions with normal field position and only scored TDs on 2 of those (2/7):

https://www.espn.com/nfl/playbyplay?gameId=401220249

And as a bonus just for comparison's sake, I will even throw in a good defensive team like NE vs. Seattle last week. In their game, they let Seattle have 7 normal possessions and Seattle scored TDs on 4 of them (4/7):

I'm not saying this defense is good but constantly having to dig themselves out of holes due to the turnovers doesn't help either. You can't spot the other team field position and momentum.

Kiffen was worse than Nolan.. the awful Bears lit that defense up, hanging 45 on us. the Saints put up 49 and the Broncos, 51.

that 2013 defense was the worst Cowboys defense in team history.

Nolan is trying to threaten that record.

He might just get it, if he isn't fired.

Nolan loves playing that soft zone/off man cover scheme.

Note the defensive call on the 4th and 3 play.

insane.

The defense will start to look a lot better probably after the Browns game, simply because of the QBs they're going to play against.

Given the changes to the coaching staff, personnel, injuries and the abridged offseason, this is an absolutely brutal 3-game stretch to start the season. We're not having this conversation if the season starts with like...NYG, Philly and Cinci.

From what I see every team playing a top qb is getting lit up for 30 plus. Saints, Packers, Bills (we played Goff much better than Buffalo or Philly), Chicago (they let Ryan light them up WITHOUT Julio. Seattle gets lit up by every good offense. Philly got lit up by Dwayne Haskins lol. Only team that seems to be playing consistently good is Baltimore. So yeah we are bad, but so is everyone else.
name me another team that has given the ball up DEEP in our own territory more than we have. Our offense has KILLED our defense with stupid turnovers. How many points did Seahawks get yesterday due to turnovers? 10? How many did Atlanta get? 17?

Yesterday was pretty understandable. Who would have expected Tyler Lockett to go off like that. Most teams decide to let him run free and uncovered. It's not like he has ever done anything like that before. No reason to try and cover him.

While it is still a L, Seattle did have to punt the ball 7 times yesterday. They could have easily scored 50.

One of the lbers messed. Both played the rb going into the flat leaving a huge hole in the middle of the field.

Scapegoat for Dak? He was Dak's favorite receiver while he was here.

The pass defense is beyond bad. How many times have we seen WRs at least 5 yards clear of the nearest defender in only the last 2 weeks?
