Of course not. Don't let facts get into the way of someone making a point. Let me put this is 3 inch headlines. I am not a Dak lover, but Romo was not god's gift to QB's. The dude was a good player, he could make stuff happen. I would even say more potent at his peak than Dak.
But as we all know this is a bottom line business. He was always remembered for the games he lost not the ones he won. Us Cowboys fans did not trust him in big situations. He was a good QB in a league where you QB had to be great to win a SB.
In his era he was always behind, Brady, Peyton, Favre, Rodgers, Brees, Rivers later on Wilson, Ryan, then it came to the likes of Romo, Stafford... Unbelievable that he was an undrafted free agent. Who doesn't love his story. But stop the hero worship!! It is so unbecoming of Cowboys fans.
We are the team that had 20 straight winning seasons.
8 out of the first 30 SB's.
5 SB appearances in the 70's.

No we have had 25 straight years of not even winning a divisional round game. Someone please hold Jerry accountable...... He is the owner/GM... The buck stops with him. He cannot blame anyone.

Clarance Hill should be forced to make an apology. Jerry DID NOT say Dak wasn't good. Seriously, did anyone bother to read the quote? He was comparing Dak to Mahomes and Wilson. It was a favorable quote. He basically said the move at the end of the game was amazing, "the one he threw the interception on". There was nothing said that wasn't positive.

Other Dallas writers are taking Hill to task over misrepresenting what Jerry said. If it was intentional....he may need to be removed from his position. As it stands, I think he just misheard Jerry.
This is todays news - sports or not - create a story by the story itself.

It really is a shame that this is what it has come to!

About the only thing he said that I agree with. Not necessarily about Romo pulling it off but that it's the difference between Dak and Mahomes.

I think it is obvious the difference between Mahomes and Dak. That's not really in question. MahomesSvs 31 either QBs is not in question. What is in question is he top 5 or top 10 (those who say he is outside of top 10 are blowing smoke).

In comparing Dak to Romo I think they are pretty closely ranked. They just have different strengths and weaknesses.

My memory isn't the best but what memorable games did Romo win for us? Because I remember thinking like yeah we had a chance to win but we also had a chance of losing with a turnover.
Kinda like last Sunday but without the screams of hating on the QB for no good reason but stating a fumbled snap, backwards hat and a pink jersey as reasons for all the hate, but continue with the narrative...

It would be impossible for me to care less what Jerry says.

You mean you don't believe him when he says we are doing things "the very best way we can"? Surely our history shows you that he's telling the tr-...umm...ehhh....

I guess I don't get why people are all bent out of shape...because Jerry is right. You wanna make Mahoney money....you gotta find ways to win. It's that simple. Seattle game...was a lost opportunity.

That’s some bad stuff by C-Hill that isn’t what Jerry said at all. He gave Dak a huge compliment and he’s not wrong, Romo had that same magic to escape the impossible. Honestly I’m not sure what Hill is trying to start but that’s shady.

What do “active” mean?

It means, of the people still playing at the time between Romo started playing and retired, he had more fourth quarter comebacks than any of them.

So basically this stat means he's better in the 4th quarter than quarterbacks who came into the league until he retired? So what that's Eli, Phillip and Ben? And this means what to you? He's the goat?

Mahomes is better than Dak, but Mahomes wouldn't be Mahomes if he was here with the circus going on. He'd be getting bashed here when the playcalling and horrible defense limits his effectiveness

Throwing into that crowd, even Mahomes would have to have been lucky. Don't make it like he would have completed it and no other QB could.
Other QBs would have thrown the ball out bounds since they knew that they had another down to try for the TD.

Unlikely they pull off that play any more than Dak, but would they have been closer to the goal and had a better chance before the play began? Perhaps. Dallas wasted a lot of time on that drive.

Surprised Jerry would say that publicly, if that's indeed what he said.
Romo gets sacked. He was great at the spin move, but that wasn’t the situation. He never had the strength to avoid that sack. Now, if he says there was someone running free on an earlier play and Tony would have found him or taken the shot....cannot disagree with that.

Romo has some epic failures early in his career, but he was a great QB towards the end of his career. His health became an issue about the same time as became one of the top QBs in the league.
