If we falter and go 1 and 3 over the next 4 games and have a record of 2-6. Would you be open to trading Zeke for a couple draft picks.

I would want at least a 1st and 3rd and would be ecstatic with 2 1st.

The dream is over, the O line is shot, with Dak here Zeke will only struggle and Zeke is just a luxury for the Cowboys at this point.

The last 4 years have been wasted and its time to move on. The Cowboys could parlay those pics into a QB and draft RB in the 3rd.

That would be a Belichek power move. Then maybe we could trade Cooper for a 2nd or 3rd
You want high draft picks for a player you consider has underperformed?

I know you're kinda this out there but if you look at MM tenure with the Packers, he never featured a strong running game. In fact, if you recall, he only promised Zeke X number of TOUCHES. My point is it would not surprise me at by the end of the season this offense has devalued the RB position to point of Zeke being grossly overpaid vs his production.

And to be fair, he was already grossly overpaid before MM got here, but it will just continue to become more and more obvious.

Obviously.

You're obviously not getting a 1st for Zekethough.

I'd take a 3rd and a turkey sandwich.

They should have just traded for Adrian Peterson!
Zeke is the least of our problems right now...
Jerry begs to differ especially last week when Ewok dropped 3 passes & only had 37 yards on the ground vs Seattle.

$90 million dollar joke!

who would give u a 1 and 3 for Zeke knowing they would have to pick up his contract? Rams got nothing for Gurley and we would be in same boat trying to get rid of Zeke now with the bloated contract. Zeke like 90% of the players after signing huge guaranteed contracts just doesnt care and why should he? where are all the "just give him the money people"?

I think we have about 8 million free this year. And next year could be absorbed with Dak off the Books

Or use it to carry over next year to pay for Dak's contract. Jerry and Dak will eventually come to an agreement.

I would trade Zeke for free so long they get him off the books. Our money is better spent on the defense. Aldon Smith comes to mind.

Crazy post.

We don't need another QB. Dak is going to be here for many years. Guaranteed.

So you trade Zeke in order to draft another RB???

:facepalm::huh::facepalm::huh::facepalm:

If Dak is worth what many think he is I see no reason why we cant get two 1st round picks from a bottom feeder at the minimum.

If Dak was worth two first round picks you probably wouldn't be suggesting we trade him. Besides that, any team that does give up two first rounders for him will pretty much have to reset the market with his new contract. I don't see any team doing that.

Trade him to the jets. That would be awesome! Probably the only team stupid enough to bite!

Yep, you're right and that's why we can't compound matters by overpaying Dak.

Giving these costly contracts to a couple of individuals just means gaps in other areas ....if we only look at how many points we score Defense wont matter.

When I talk about future transcations its based on what is best for the team. You call drafting a QB or finsing a stop gap in free agency a fantasy.

But if it doesnt happen this team will be a dumpster fire until Dak's contract, in which you believe to be a fore gone conclusion. Is over.

We have seen the best of Dak and what he is capable of doing and its not good enough in this league. The player is an anchor holding this team down.

I realize you hate the contract but some contender may not. In a season where everyone are falling to injury Zeke is a beast any team could ride to a championship.

The whole issue you (and we) are trying to resolve is due to overpaid contracts which are made worse as to manipulate around the CAP the Jones tend to favor the restructure money into future bonus' ....unfortunately this leads to situations like Zeke (and more so Lawrence) where we just have to ride the contracts as they are just to bad to trade and to high to cut.

In a trade scenario we might be able to get a 2nd round pick. His salary is an albatross. Wouldn't mind clearing the books through.

Problem is, that the Jones' would only blow the saved money on another one off expensive contract rather than spread the money around to address a number of our problems.

I don’t care for zeke and he was terrible last week but his 37 yards on the ground was more a product of offensive play calling and falling behind than him
