I can't watch this defense any more. This is the first game I stopped watching before the end in probably 10 years. I mostly blame Nolan for his attempt at trying to make the players fit his scheme instead of using a scheme that fits the players.

Analyze the talent objectively and you'll think differently. Maybe Nolan blows too, but the talent is sorely lacking.

Last Cowboys game for me, I am not going to sit around another year rooting for the Giants , Skins and Eagles to lose since we can't manage to field a decent team. Blamed it on Garrett blamed it on Garrett. It's the organization. I had so much hope for this year.

As much as I would like to think the Cowboys will turn this around, they won't.

I'll spend the rest of the season rooting for my 2nd team, the Las Vegas Raiders.

Yes they could use some better talent in places but with no OTA's or mini camps or preseason games to work out Nolan's complicated scheme I think it would have been much better if Nolan went with a scheme that the players are used to playing instead of installing his scheme. His scheme is suppposed to make the offense unsure what the defense is going to do but all to often the defense looks like Keystone cops.

We can't cover, pressure is spotty, LB play mostly sucks. Not all on the scheme.

Charles Haley was asked how easy it is to go from playing in a 3 point stance to a 2 point stance and he said it's much harder than people think and often times it makes a player less effective. Lawrence and Smith had played in 3 point stances and in this scheme Nola has them in a two point stance. A lot of what you're talking about I think is a direct result of Nolan's constantly changing alignments and like I said instead of fooling the offense it's causing the defense to look like keystone cops. As I said before there are a coupe of positions that it wouldn't hurt if they had better talent, but even if they got that talent confusing your defense and making them look like keystone cops that other talent isn't going to help. Another thing Nolan has never had a defense rated in the top 10. Number 11 is his highest for one year.

I thought McVay and his staff's playoff win story of tells on the defense and their alignments, and then Darnold's boasting of the Cowboys don't hide/disguise and do what they do...

And years and years of Marinelli's BBDB so called predictable defenses.

And now you're having a discussion with another fan who believes that everything should be dumbed down.

I mean...

Never mind

Go Cowboys
