The real reason we lost is Jerry Jones

People need to just come to terms with this. How much evidence do we need? The coaches have changed, the players have changed, the stadium changed...pretty much everything has changed over the past 25 years except 1 thing. Jerry is Al Davis, Dan Snyder, Fred Wilpon, and James Dolan all wrapped in 1. We never have, nor will we ever, have success while Jerry and his family is running this merry country club.

But yet here we are with a dejected fanbase after getting sold a pile of trash off season as a pile of gold...we should have seen it coming but instead bought it up and no have to deal with yet another painful year. Will it ever end is the real question? Will cowboys fans ever turn on Jerry on a large scale?

There is nothing we can do about it that's the problem.

All we can worry about is how to improve on the field and there is a million different ways we can do that right now.

Management may be the root cause of some problems but when it gets to Sunday it's not managements fault that Zeke is fumbling the ball.

Right now I think the harm the Jones's have caused is coddling these players and them feeling like entitled rockstars and not playing up to their potential collectively or individually.

Whether you want to admit it or not, the product on the field just isn’t good enough..again on Jerry and Stephen. There are no adjustments or coaching changes that are going to change the fact that we have (maybe) 3 nfl starting caliber players on defense.

You are definitely correct that there’s nothing we can do about it though. That and your last paragraph about being coddled. Just being a Cowboy seems to be good enough for most of these guys, any winning beyond that doesn’t seem necessary

I agree but I guarentee you behind the scenes they are blaming injuries and they do have a point to blame injuries but my gosh our slow starts are a big problem.

Dallas needs to get a lead and feed Zeke. Have we lead in a football game this year? Like for a brief moment yesterday we did...

We are constantly chasing and you can't just blame the defense because the offense starts way too slow.

Exactly. We’re all here, posting on a Cowboys’ message board because we all bleed blue and silver, we love this team. And Jerry Jones is the owner of this team that we love. He’s not going anywhere, so naming him as the problem, while it may be true, is not really useful.

And in the end, this isn’t a team devoid of talent. It’s not a team that should be 1-3. You can say that Jerry has been the common denominator through these past 25 years of pain but this roster is not a bad roster. He’s a part of the problem but he’s certainly not THE problem.

I mean yeah, ultimately things boil down to our FO headed by our clown GM/president/owner. He’s not going anywhere though and these threads, while absolutely cathartic and I’ll buy the OP a beer in complete agreement, aren’t going to change the reality that Jerry isn’t going anywhere. We have the only GM/President in the league that is unfireable because he owns the team.

For example, remember that when Nolan was coach of SF he was ALSO the GM. They stunk so bad with him as GM that the FO fired him and just left him as coach which they also eventually fired him from holding. As such SF has had actual success because they can gut the rot from their organization. EVERY team in the league can do this.

Except us...

The only thing getting Jerry out as GM is the Grim Reaper and most of us know he’s the main problem. This is beating the deadest of dead horses.

Not naming Jerry as a problem for the Cowboys is insanity. If you want to bury your head in the sand that’s on you. But facts are fact. Having an Owner/GM like Jerry is chernobyl level toxic

But you’re telling me that you honestly think that this defense is sufficient? And that the o-line was set up for success knowing the injury history? If so your head is even further in the sand than I thought possible

The Cowboys are a complete and utter clown show. I will continue to watch because I am morbidly curious to see where it goes. I had low expectations but I never dreamed it would be this bad. The defense flat out quit playing. The last time I saw it that bad was with our boy Wade at the helm.

Count me in! JJ & Co need to get a REAL FOOTBALL BRAINTRUST to run the football side of things before it's too late. JJ isn't getting any younger and the team differently isn't getting any better..............

Jerruh has already given his favorite toy to his baby boy. Nepotism will keep this train wreck going long after that drunken fool is gone. The only thing we can hope for is financial ruin that forces the clowns to sell the circus.

Sir.. you are perhaps the one of the few who sees the truth

Everyone see this and we've been complaining about it for years. But it gets to a point where we no longer make it a daily complaint because there is nothing we can do about it. It will not change. And Stephen, I am afraid, is worse than Jerry. as bad as it is now, I envision Stephen will tighten the purse strings and this team will be a basement dweller until his stadium is empty and no one is buy Cowboys merch anymore. Then he will sell it but some of us will be dead by then.

Pretty much. Jerry Jones is the big problem here.

OMG another person so smart that they've figured it all out and blamed Jerry Jones.

These threads are all so unique, cunning, and clever.
