Firstly firing Nolan won't fix most our issues, it would help but JJ would never do that. What seems as the most obvious solution for all of us, like signing Earl Thomas, or firing Nolan, is exactly what Jones won't do because that's just how they are.

So the most logical thing to do is to trade Zeke, Dak, Cooper, Lawrence, Martin, Smith and Smith. That should clear up the cap and we would be LOADED with cap space, and most importantly the most draft picks every by the franchise.

Then we can keep Diggs, Gallup, Pollard, Lamb, Collins and let them play with Dalton. We would probably win 5 games, but we would be building for the mid 2020s to be a HUGE contender.
I'm at the point where this makes sense.

Only problem is Jerry will still only make a Jerry hire....a guy who isnt worth crap.

No way he hires a coach who takes the spotlight away from him.

Funny how he seems to avoid that spotlight right now.

Garbage local media.

To be well wishing right now, the Jones family needs to swallow their collective pride and hire a well respected, proven, football savvy and knowledgeable General Manager/Director of Player Personnel. Until that is done, nothing is changing.

Who's finding the talent for this next regime?

$27M dead money on 2021 cap.

$16M dead money on 2021 cap.

Tyron? $8.865M dead money on 2021 cap

Jaylon? $9.4M dead money on 2021 cap

Nah. We just need to rebuild the defense. The WR’s are fine. Zeke needs better gloves IMO. And Dak is fine. He’s not an absolute world beater but he gets the job done nicely. Maybe a few tweaks to the Oline. And a new OC (one that favors Bieniemy would be nice, no?)

Defense needs to be completely rebuilt though. From head to toe (besides Diggs. He can have more time cause he’s just a rookie). Anyone who’s been here over a year needs to be traded or cut.
Nolan needs to be cut too.

The rebuilding part is pretty terrifying when we still have the same folks in place that gave us the current defensive talent. I can't see them giving any thought to an interior player or Safety if there is a linebacker with a similar rating.

We will add rookies and hope for the best.

We're stuck with this team for a long time.

sorry to disagree. signing Earl Thomas ain't going to fix anything...he is just like McCoy and Poe. a name from the past the fans dream about.

we have paid huge contracts to players we shouldn't have on the defensive side. Lawrence and Jaylon, two biggest paid players on the defensive side counting almost 30M against the cap, have 0.5 sacks between them. and part of the worst defense ever.

You can do all that. You could do all the other things mentioned on the board. Change this, trade that, bring in this guy. Nothing changes until Jerry is gone. Nothing.

Too bad Bill O'Brien already traded off his first.

IF there was a chance, it would be him lol.

They are 0-4, and traded their 1st and 2nd to Miami for this upcoming draft.
And lost DeAndre hopkins. Im shocked that man still has a job.

What has happened since March 1994? Really sit down an answer that honest question to yourself? The culture of this organization went 180 degrees from the way Jimmy built the organization. He slept, lived, breathed football, every hour of his time was how can I make this team better.
Do you think Jerry even cares about football? He is living off the fumes of America's team, 5 SB victories. It starts from the top it always has and always will. There is an old saying by Bill Parcells.." you coach it or you allow it to happen".
Culture eats strategy for breakfast. Jerry Jones thinks he is playing fantasy football, defense is not just one slot of 8 spots you have to fill.
Jerry does not care about winning a SB. I really hope we fall to the basement with this team. Please don't win another game.
Jerry needs to go through the 12 step program of realizing he is the not the answer at the GM position. He needs to realize he is the problem. We need NBC to flex us out of Sunday night, please do not talk about this team at all. Reserve your air time for competent teams.
I remember growing up very late 80's, no one cared that Dallas was down, because so many other of the big name teams were good. Giants, Skins, Eagles, SanFran, Minnesota, Chicago, Denver, Miami.
This team needs Big Mike to flip the table and have accountability. Empty stats mean nothing. How many bad passes did Dak throw yesterday that should have been picked? As much as I love Zeke, name a me an RB that really moves the needle these days. Kamara might be the only one.
McCaffery is out, Davis has been a serviceable replacement. Chubb goes down D'Ernesto lights us up. Rams have three guys, Bill has 5 RB's.
Baltimore plugs in guys. Saquan will never be the guy he was drafted to be.
The problem is this team is never going to be ahead of the curve or figure what comes next in team building, coaching, culture because the owner is such a bull headed guy who's ego cannot be contained. Even the media doesn't care anymore that he has the GM title.
Just like in politics, the country is now desensitized to both sides being at each others throat. The media now adores Jerry because he has weekly shows, after game media sessions, runs the draft from his yact, he is the ultimate salesman.

What point? We've already seen the better days of the Cowboys with Dak and we weren't able to make deep runs. It would be hard to get into that point, I can't believe I'm saying this but this roster looked so much better when coached by Garrett & co. I actually miss him and his defensive staff, they are real football people.

We need to contact your closest family member for this Clapper emergency you are having.
Step 1. say outloud "I want Jason Garrett Back"...if this doesn't make you vomit then move to step 2
step 2. Find a person you hate marry them then watch your money go away in a horrible divorce......remind yourself this is how it felt to have Garrett

Crisis averted
