All of a sudden it's the front office's fault

Of course it's the front office fault. McCarthy has been here a grand total of 4 games and some already want the guy gone. Garrett got damn near 10 years and couldn't do squat. All of sudden? 24 years since we've been in an NFC Championship game and we have 4 playoff wins since 1996. FOUR freakin' playoff wins in nearly 24 years. That's insanity. It starts with Jerry and his idiot son in the front office and it always has been.

This falls all on Mike McCarthy because he's the Head Coach. He is responsible for getting this team ready to play each week. And the 1-3 record indicates he isn't doing a good job at it so far. In fact, it indicates he's been terrible as a Head Coach.

He inherited a competitive team and the off season moves that were made were applauded by this board and even the media. But now it's the front office's fault.

Give me a break.

Break given.

By the way, the front office signs the players and hires the coaches - the good ones and the bad ones.

Everything is on them, especially when they will never fire themselves. There's nothing "sudden" about it.

It seemed like everyone here was excited about the hire of Mike McCarthy.

It seemed like everyone here loved the drafted players.

It seemed like everyone liked the free agency signings of McCoy, Poe, Aldon Smith, and Griffen. Even Ha Ha Clinton Dix and the new Swing Tackle.

Yet, here we are at 1-3 (should be 0-4) after some really ugly performances through 4 weeks.

This franchise and the hapless bungles are the only teams in the NFL that don’t hold their front office responsible for results. 30 of the 32 owners in this league hire people to run the football side of the team, set goals to be accomplished, and if they aren’t accomplished usually within 5 years, they are fired and someone else is brought in.

It’s not that I think Mike McCarthy shouldn’t be held accountable. But his work and influence have stretched over a whopping 4 games. Jerry’s fingerprints are 3 decades deep. It’s too early to play taps over Big Mac. And sure the players need to play better and should be held accountable for poor play.

But how can you have accountability anywhere in this organization if you don’t have it at the top? Accountability in effective organizations always starts at the top.

It’s too early to blame the season on Big Mac. But it’s not too early to know who is most responsible for the mess we’re in. He’s sitting in the owners box with his nepotistic kingdom.

I was not on board with McCarthy hire but I’m thrilled he’s our coach instead of another year of Garrett.

Id rather be awful with McCarthy then be average with Garrett.

I want to be awful or great.. I’m tired of being stuck in the middle or on the fringe.

If I had it my way we would shut it down this season... Win 1 game.. Draft Lawrence...

McCoy broke. Stuff happens. Dix was a screw up, but have we *not* been complaining about our offseason moves at S forever? At least they *tried* this year.

Griffin has been a bust. Though that seemed like a desperation signing because we didn't know about ASmith, and Gregory was looking doubtful.

I'll take the draft.

We picked up Aldon from McCarthy bumping into him in the gym. Wanna give that back? I'm fine with Poe. Hill seems to have transformed into something under McCarthy.

Our big problems on defense are Pre McCarthy - the Not Boyz of Crawford, Lawrence, and JSmith, all Not Boyz *prior* to McCarthy, despite their successful marketing.

We have 23 million in cap space, never signed Dak, we let Byron go, we kept Tyron Crawford and paid him 9 million and walked on Jamal Adams and Earl Thomas. MAJOR FAIL

I’m alway critical of the disaster that is the Cowboys front office/organization. It is the main reason the team is where it is each year. The Jones family is utterly incompetent about anything other than signing Papa Johns to a deal. Jerry is narsasitic and Stephen is a fat dunce.

However, they didn’t really duck this year up
Surprisingly. I would have preferred they hire Urban Myer but MM is a legit choice.

No one plans to lose their 2 staring tackles plus the swing guy. That’s melt down point. Or loose your top 2 corners, you can’t win like that.

I’m the 1st to blame the FO but this is beyond that, it’s just bad luck. MM picked Nolan so that’s on him.

Yeah I agree. If you want to fault the front office its for hiring McCarthy but this teams downfalls are on Mike. Sorry. I know its easier to blame Jerry but no one here had any issue with McCarthy even though the signs pointed to him being the issue in GB. And I haven't written him off but he has this team in this mess and he needs to get them out of it ASAP.
I think McCarthy has been a disappointment in Dallas after an entire month, but he was pretty successful GB. Was the issue in GB a 128-76 record with postseason appearances in 9 of 13 years, four Championship appearances and a SB victory or how the last two years of his tenure went for GB?

Rodgers was his main reason for success.

The Packers had an NFC Championship game appearance last year with a new head coach and they are off to a great start this season at 4-0.

Rodgers is a first ballot HOFer and probably been a top 2 or 3 QB his entire career. Certainly a tremendous asset to have on any team.

So if the Packers don't win another SB during his career, does that mean the Head Coach is no good? Was Don Shula a bad coach by virtue of not winning a SB with Marino? That dude was a damn good QB.

McCarthy just had no positive influence on the Packers success during his tenure I guess They won despite his presence in the organization.

He was but there was always this blurred line of how much success was it of him having the best quarterback in the league? Because his defenses before Dom Capers sucked and even they tailed off eventually.

  1. Signing Zeke two years early
  2. Letting Byron Jones walk
  3. D Law and Jaylon Smith not playing up to their deals
  4. Ignoring safety for 20 years
  5. Tyrone Crawford is still on the team
  6. Not signing Dak after 2018
Not of those have to do with McCarthy. Main thing I blame McCarthy for is the Nolan hire. But like I said D Law and Jaylon Smith weren't worth the money last year so that's on the front office. Jaylon Smith is replacement level at this point and D Law is just a run stopper.

No one would deny the direct correlation between winning and having a top QB. Is that enough, though?
