I don’t mean turning a lopsided game off in the fourth quarter. I mean, is there ever a point you would stop watching Cowboys games until some sort of change occurs?

Last week, watching the defense got me thinking. There was no effort. They weren’t trying. I’m not saying anything controversial. Troy Aikman and Michael Irvin alluded to it. We’ve been saying it all week.

So why would we spend a large chunk of our Sundays watching millionaires show up to get a paycheck and have no greater positive impact than we do? Doesn’t it seem a little pointless?

I stopped watching this year because I have found it not enjoyable anymore and I was allowing the games to stress me out and put me in bad moods. I told myself if I can’t watch cowboys play as entertainment I will not watch until I can enjoy it without allowing myself to get upset.

I only stop if I feel the team has quit in a game.

Last year I stopped giving them my time whenever they had one of their stinkers..

It’s early in the year right now but I’m not going to waste time on a day off watching them play like garbage.

This is the direction I’m headed in. I find it difficult to enjoy a team when current structures prevent it from ever being truly competitive. Why should be emotionally invested in a team that’s not emotionally invested in itself.

I am big on turning it off to only go back and turn it on 15 minutes later. Some weeks I do that a couple times.

They haven't been on TV for 2 games in my area and have made no effort to watch the games. I felt relieved not to not waste 3 hours last Sunday on that tbh. Played poker instead and enjoyed myself.

no. I enjoy the radio broadcast and enjoy watching NFL Football.

I have however stopped caring for the most part. I find this team to be unlikeable across the board. I have zero respect for the Jones family in how they go about putting a team together and hiring coaches and I loathe the way they treat the fans of this team. So winning and losing does not affect me in anyway anymore.

A new team, a different group of guys down the road may bring back my excitement hopefully but for now this team has made me not care.

I thought I was alone in this....I sometimes just turn off during defenseive series because it’s just too hard to watch too

This team could go 0-16 for 3 years straight, and I'll still watch very game.

My late grandfather is the reason I'm even a Cowboys fan, and honestly I think that's the thing that keeps me coming back.

I can't see there ever being a reason I'd stop watching.

Nah, there's no point. As long as the Jones family owns the team the organizational structure will not change. When Jerry passes, Stephen will slide into his chair and a young Jones will get a promotion without having to earn it. Wash, rinse, repeat.

I still watch but with different expectations. I no longer expect to compete for Super Bowls, so I'm watching for entertainment and old time's sake.

Yes. When the team is completely outmatched and getting their ***** kicked I stop watching. The only time I don't is a playoff game.

I've barely watched any games since the year Romo went down and Garrett went 1-11 without him. Why? Because I was done with Garrett. I've watched all 4 games this year, though.

Great question. I've about had it with Jerry at the moment and contemplate not wasting time with this any longer....

But I have a streak that goes back to 12/30/90 as the last one I didnt watch live or attend. That's a long one.

I DID however refuse to watch the second half of a home game vs KC a few years ago when they decided not to play defense on the last play of the half....most of you probably recall.

Of course they dominated that second half.

Maybe its me.

If you are not being entertained then you shouldn't watch it. Why punish yourself?
I am entertain even when we suck.

I don't understand why so many people keep abusing themselves.

Good answer. I like this approach.

I often feel like I watch out of habit and obligation. But I think you’re on to something when it comes to changing expectations.

I suppose, last week, I was put off the utter lack of effort.
