4 plays he looks like he has no burst and can't get there to make the play and 1 play he surprises.

One theory I have....

Jaylon isn't the smartest linebacker in the entire world; we've seen offenses take his lunch taken on motion, option plays etc how many times now. But he was playing noticeably faster and more comfortably today. I wonder if that's because Garrett is calling the same offense he did in Dallas and Jaylon recognizes the plays from practice, so he was freed up from having to read and could just ball.

Is this a joke?! They played against the 31st worst O line in the league, and more specifically, two of the worst rated tackles in the league (a rookie and a back up we let walk who is now their starter). Oh yeah, it was also against the league leading turnover QB.

I’ll be waiting to hear how you had a second helping of crow when we face a decent O line again. I hate to say “I said” but just a few days ago I said this defense would look like the ‘85 Bears for the next few games and they would pad their stats. I just hope the “Hot Boyz” don’t believe their own hype as much as you do.
Murray will kill this defense. No chance next week. 40-20 at best. This (Dallas) might be the worst defense in the league. Barring injuries or strange turnovers, we (Dallas fans) will be disappointed. Murray's coming out party (Because the rest of the country doesn't really see him).
Fitz, Hopkins etc. Zero chance.

we gave up 34 to the giants. Thats equal to giving up 45 to a real team.
Did you watch the game? The Giants scored 7 on a tipped ball pick 6 and then on a 15 yard drive after Dalton's fumble. Only a boxscore watcher would claim "we gave up 34 points to the giants."

I give those guys a hard time more than nearly anyone here, but they both showed up in big ways today!
I am going to continue to give them a hard time. that was the 31st worst offense in the league. previous 4 games averaged 278 TOTAL offense...and averaged 12 points a game....this game...they went over 300+. and scored 27 offensively.....

that's more than double their season scoring average. no that defense still sucked. better than before, but this is what happens when two bottom dewellers go at each other

Lawrence is a good player that makes elite player money but we can stomach that. #54 is a complete liability at LB that renders our defensive unit impotent and he's getting paid handsomely to run fast and do little to NOTHING.

Smith is still who he's always been, overrated. Lawrence I give him a chance to redeem himself. He's always been underappreciated and if he was playing through injury that's on the coaches for keeping him out there. He stepped up today. I say he's underappreciated because people don't give him credit for his performance in run support or when he's taking on multiple blockers leaving others 1 on 1.

Not many people noticed....but they flipped Aldon and D-Law today. Aldon took the majority of the snaps on the strong side....hence why D-Law had more one on ones....and was getting penetration....making plays. I hope they stick w/ that. Seemed to be working...Aldon seems like he holds up better taking on the double team.

I definitely felt there was more effort out there. Alton Smith has been a guy thats been good for us so far this year. His effort hasn't been in question. On one play early though i saw him overrun a play, come back run 10 yards and make a tackle on the RB.

Jaylon looked very fast out there today. So did dlaw, he looked like he was pissed. Hopefully we can get LVE back next week that should help.

Its the middle of our defense that need the most help. Would love to see us look at guys like Snack and ET... but doesn't seem like thats gonna happen.

Smith was playing better. Still some poor plays, but some good ones too.

The offense seemed to be playing more to his strengths. Got some straight out runs to the sideline where matching cuts or shedding blocks weren't required.

Going back to 2018, those are the good plays - a free run to the sidelines to make a tackle.
