Even if it’s the dreaded Trimalleolar fracture, he’ll be walking in a boot in 7 weeks. I wish Rayne all the best in his rehab and future career on a team other than the Cowboys.

BTW, pretty incredible that the these millionaires get surgery within hours of an injury when regular people merely get it stabilized and wait up 2 weeks for that exact surgery.........they are really the oppressed.
The bone was out the skin tissue. EVERYBODY would get surgery within 24 hours

Lmao. I know y'all desperately want him out of Dallas but he isn't going anywhere at all.

He's also getting paid over 30 million to now sit around and chill/rehab. Doesn't sound like losing to me.
I like him. Jerry may move on though

Mid-March is the deadline for teams to issue the Franchise Tag on a player.

It sounds jerk, but I think Dallas can/should wait until at least late-February to make any moves Re: his contract.

By mid-March Dak should pretty well along and the Cowboys should have a good idea of where he is in his recovery and

Could you imagine - Andy gets them to the Superbowl - Dak comes in and they lose. Jerry gives Dak a 42 million a year deal - HEADS WOULD EXPLODE!!

I can't imagine this because it's not going to happen, and has no chance of happening. I have a better chance of walking out of my house and tripping over a large stack of 100 dollar bills, getting concussed on gold bars as a result. And when I wake up Shakira asks me to marry her.

Now it’s time for the joneses to quit the talking and pay the man. Show him he’s what you say he is.

So just curious what do you think happens?
I just think they didn’t give him a better deal cause that was their ceiling on what they were willing to pay. No big insider information just my gut feeling

So your theory is that he won't be because they offered him a 4 year deal as opposed to a 5 year deal?

Dak is the only guy in the NFL that looks for contact when running, if they are saying its four months to come back I expect it to be two.

An aggressive hard-hitting mentality and physical healing are two completely unrelated things. You can't will your cells, muscles, ligaments, bones, etc. to heal faster through sheer willpower.

Valid point...we can only wait and see. His salary will be greatly reduced next season due to the uncertainty. He’ll probably get a 10 million dollar salary with 10 million in incentives.

That would only happen if he weren't coming back to the Cowboys. The Cowboys, in all likelihood, will tag him again if not sign him to a long term deal. For a one year deal, they are locked into paying Prescott $37M next year.

I am not a Dak nutty huggy but I will admit that he will be back at full strength and ready to go faster then most players would be. He works his *** off and it shows with where he has come from to where he is now. I hope he recovers well and continues to be the QB of this team..at a good price of course.

Yep, a PERFECT TIME for a franchise tag. Helps Dak, and it helps us.
