Actually I read something that all the receivers snaps have gone down because Wilson and Brown's snaps have gone up. So not just Amari.

Gallup and CD were trending down until this last game, where Gallup went up.

Wilson and Brown now taking 50% between them. TEs taking 120%. We're spreading it around pretty well.

I think Cooper trending down is injury. Maybe just that plantar fasciitis.

Yes, and he had 12 last week against Cleveland. Seems a lot of fans define things on a week by week basis.

And we know that Kellen Moore isn't a "feed Dez" guy, he is a chess player attacking the opposing defense.

Yes, it is a bad contract in hindsight. Unfortunately, it was 'market value' at the time. Cowboys had no idea Lamb would be there on draft day. At least the Cowboys made the right call drafting Lamb.

I have no problem with Cooper though. Good person and he practices and plays hard. Yah, he is injured a little too much but WRs are high maintenance a lot and they take some big hits.

I am on record saying they should have signed Byron Jones before paying Cooper that kind of money. I would have held at $15 million a year with Cooper. It is true they didn't know CeeDee would be there but they knew this was a very deep class in WRs. Chase Claypool would have been there. Van Jefferson would have been there. I could name 5 others who are playing really well as rookies.

I think Cooper is a very good receiver. But he is missing something, which is why the Raiders let him go rather than pay him what they expected they would have to pay him. Cooper is not tough. He is soft. He lacks the competitive heart, the desire to win more than anything. It is not just the injuries, though he tends to let nicks and dings affect him too much, it's that I just don't see the fire in the belly. Again, he's a good receiver, one of the best. I just don't know if he will every play for a winning team.

Let me ask this question, Ceedee took 2 huge hits yesterday and held onto the football. Would Cooper have caught those balls and held on? We know the answer. That's what I mean by soft. A $20 million receiver has to have the guts to take those hits and hold on to the football. Give me CeeDee and Gallup all day, even with Gallup's occasional drops.

Statistics are less than meaningless.

Your eyes tell you Lamb is already a far superior player.
CeeDee is awesome, but my eyes haven't told me that he's a "far superior player"...yet. Fact is that Cooper is drawing more attention than Lamb or Gallup. To Lamb's credit, he's been a beast out of the slot, going up those seams. I'll be interested to see how teams make adjustments to account for him over the course of the season.

I know reading comprehension isn't your thing, but you replied to WG's post saying Cooper was producing to say "Its all about the contract".

There is only one way to read that.

Only one way to read it for a straight line thinker void of nuance or anything other than the emotional goal of "getting even" for being made to look like a tool repeatedly, yes. You do try hard though. Lol.

Amari doesn't dictate gameplans. Never has, never will.

Teams that have a top corner can put him on Cooper and it's over. 2 catches for 11 yards, and he's done. Then double the other guy.

That doesn't work on Lamb.. And it won't stop him. He's that guy.

@Creeper Byron Jones has played in 3 of 5 games so far. He has 3 solo tackles and 2 assists. No interceptions. I doubt he would have helped the Cowboys at CB at all this year.

I’ve never seen a team where fans worry so much about where the team spends its money. Between all the hand wringing over Cooper and Crawford, you would think money is actually keeping us from signing anyone the team wants. It is NOT! Dallas has plenty of money under the cap, just as it did last year.

..easy, other receivers are open, so you throw them the ball. Coop one of those under the radar receivers. Was he worth the big contract? Probably not.

I hope that rich stable of receivers reaps some trade benefits before deadline.

This team is horrible at trading off guys that are worth trading. I will say though that it was beautiful the way they sent all those WRs on go routes and the Giants couldn't give safety help to everybody. Our least threatening WR was Gallup and he ate their lunch, lol.

This can be attributed to three things:

1. Dallas has 5 WR’s that they like and trust. With Cooper out, both Gallup and Lamb can easily function as the WR1.

2. Dallas has been very successful on offense this season and is running a ton of plays.

3. Dallas likes and has been using an up-tempo offense that tires defenses out quickly... and their own WR’s too.

It is no conspiracy. No big mystery. With the super fast tempo and sustained drives, WR’s playing a lot of snaps would be tired out in a hurry and so be less effective. It makes sense to give the big 3 extended time to catch their breath and get their legs back

At any given point, probably two of a fresh Cooper/Gallup/Lamb are out there causing problems with either Wilson or Brown. They’ll rotate the big three where only one is on the sideline at any point.

It is really smart and a fresh and rested Cooper or Gallup or Lamb going up against gassed DB’s just might be a stroke of genius. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if that final drive where Gallup killed the Giant’s defense wasn’t a result of this philosophy.

Dallas is uniquely set up to do this because of their embarrassment of riches at the WR position. It is still a great WR Corp with one of the big three on the sidelines and the other two fresh out on the field running hurry-up.

I know it is just killing defenses.
