If you want an ole miss QB wait for Matt Corral.
I still remember how pissed I was when Dak was drafted by the Cowboys.
Man, you jogged some memories

The best thing for Dallas is to lose and improve our draft pick.

It's a catch22 for me though because I want Dalton to open eyes and drive Dak's asking price down.

These QB prices have gotten out of hand and I would love for what many regarded as the worst QB in the league to come in and produce like the guy they want to pay 40 million a year to.

The 2021 draft can't help us right now. Dalton could easily get hurt behind this line.

This line is way better than what Dalton has had the last couple years. He will manage after almost getting murdered last year.

Dalton turns 33 this month. He could easily get injured behind this mess of an OL. We just need someone right now to back him up.

I honestly don't know what $wag kelly can do, there's not much to go off of at the NFL level.
Im surprised you think he's better than Kaep.

Chad Kelly can't even keep a backup job. What makes you think he's talented enough to make it worth our while to sign him?

he's was a college QB that had some nice pop plays, but can't hit the broadside of a barn in the NFL. Two totally different game speeds. PASS

Cowboys already signed Garrett Gilbert.

So I guess that shows what they think of Ben DeNucci...

He had a legit second round grade but got knocked down due to behavioral issues. If he has matured, he is the most talented Qb not signed.
How has he matured? He pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor with the Broncos and got released. The very next year he was suspended the 1st two games for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy and then released.
Sounds like he's not remotely good enough to justify having to deal with his nonsense.

Talented based on what? And why do you gloss over his off field issues?

I gloss over his off field issues b/c the team does. Kelly wouldn't be Jerry's first reclamation project.

The talent is there. He's got a rocket for an arm and would have been a 1st or second round pick had he not torn his knee up his senior year. He was in line to be Denver's next QB when he got arrested for trespassing while drunk. He had another off field issue in Indy which lead to his release. If he can stay sober to a few months, he's be the kind of back-up who could step in and sling it.

We currently start a guy who had such a problem with drinking that he retired for 5 seasons. Our other big hope on the DL is Gregory who couldn't stay off drugs long enough to make it through the NFL combine with his football future on the line. Talent has always overshadowed personal issues during the Jones era.

That's not an argument. We're talking about a QB. At least the addicts you mentioned showed flashes. Kelly shouldn't have even been drafted, he's just not that good. And, he's already had a couple surgeries. He was par at best in college.
