Our success doesn't lie with Dalton

this team success will not be because of Dalto, it will be because of the defense getting their s*** together and playing better, whether that's because of a more focus on running the ball or them just naturally getting better. Dak was playing about as well as anyone could with the circumstances OL,defense, sp tms(field position), and yes he had some turnovers that contribute, but so will Dalton. So for everyone claiming Dalton's play will affect Dak's future, I think it's wishful thinking for folks who's been crying for him to be replaced. The FO and coaches are smart enough to know where the improvement in success originate from.

The success/failure of the team this year was always dependent on the overall play of the defense. That hasn't changed with Dak going out.

People worried that the QB play is going to be similar to what we had and we didn’t pay 40 mill a year for it cause ya know QBs are so hard to find.

No... Elite QBs are hard to find.. Mediocre QBs are everywhere.

dude, your response is as dumb as it get, there's no fear of Dalton, Dak's play and love from this front office and team standalone in preserving his stature on this team, I have full confident nothing Dalton does changes that, you got the wrong one here , Dak needs no excuses, and I think Dalton will play well, it won't change a thing.

if Dalton plays well and the team continues to lose because of the other issues, how is that not at least equal to Dak at a much cheaper price point?

I'm not expecting the team to win much no matter the QB as they have proven they can stop no one. But none of that will prevent a competent evaluator from evaluating the offense as a whole and the individuals therein.

then why start laying the ground work on why Dalton is having success when Dak couldn't?

I read nothing in Dre's post that indicated he is scared for Dak. He simply pointed out that the defense holds the key to the rest of the season, regardless of who the QB is. Dalton does not play defense any more than Dak did. Personally, I hope Dalton does well, and that is not because I dislike Dak. I ALWAYS hope the Cowboys QB does well.

it can be similar, that still won't change a thing, Dak's upside is still a thing, His work ethic has been touted as second to none, the Jones know it, and knows he will continue to get better, they're not going to be paying for what he's done, but for what they see him being in the future as well. that's how it works in the nfl.

Because that's the key to our season, no matter who the qb is, there's no ground work being laid, it's a response to this notion that the season will change with the qb. it's not it's the defense. I want Dalton to play well, I want to win. bit it will take the defense to do it.

the defense's poor showings to date will make it necessary for dandy andy to play at a high level. if we can't stop the other team from scoring 30+ points per game, we'll have to score more. how's that for rocket science?

Amazing theory. Dallas loses because of Dak, but if they win going forward it will be because of the defense. I guess defense counts only when a QB other than Dak plays eh?
