Well, I have always thought that Dalton is much better then this fan base gave him credit for. Now, having said that, he's not a truly great QB in this league. As I posted just a moment ago, it doesn't really matter at this point. We're rolling with Dalton.

Same..

I think you and I look at players and evaluate them by what we see and don't follow the echo chamber of lazy opinions.

Andy Dalton is a good solid player. But the majority of people you see speaking about him had him labeled as the worst QB in the NFL.

I think a lot of Cowboys fans don't watch much football outside of Dallas so there is a group of people on here who can only relate Andy Dalton to guys like Matt Schaub and Brandon Weeden. I'd be shocked if we see that type of fall off from Dak to Dalton. I think Dak and Dalton are similar players and Dalton is going to get us to about the same place Dak would have. Maybe a game better or worse but right around the same spot.

Per Michael Gallup, this what Andy Dalton told the offense in the huddle when he replaced an injured Dak Prescott: "Focus up. This is what I came here for...I came here to win."

Michael Gallup says every time Andy Dalton enters the huddle he says: "I came here to win. I came here to play. So let's do it." Dalton to the offense when he came in after Dak went down: "Focus up. This is what I came here for."

STAT PADDER! Same criteria you use for Dak.

Agree. I think that regardless of who was starting, the results this year were gonna be very close to the same because it was never about the QB. It was always about the D and about our OL being able to be the difference maker for us.

That's why I never really thought we would be better then a .500 team, give or take.

Call me a homer but I’m shocked we are this bad.

All have to rally behind Dalton.

Maybe the defense comes together and says hey our leader went down we need to right the ship and all do our part. Let's do it for Dak. There are some defensive reinforcements on the way soon too.

Who knows how the season plays out, but Dalton gives the Cowboys a chance to win the divison.

Isn’t that why everyone’s here. What’s so special about him

Gotta love this team. There's something exciting to watch every week with these guys, even amidst the suckage. Being a Cowboys fan is like reading the front page of the Enquirer. Black cats, Cabo, car wrecks, drug suspensions, bar brawls, broken legs, fat coaches, Jerry, Skip, the Bravo Eugeina, red heads, clappers, and insurmountable injuries. They give you a reason to tune in every week.
I think the word is "Soap Opera".

As time has gone on..the Jones' remind me more and more of JR Ewing and the TV series Dallas.

The nepotistic father the attractive but neglected wife who has to keep herself busy buying new art for the stadium and team headquarters.

The son who struggles to be heard over his father's authoritarian presence..

The yatches the planes the team the cheerleaders the stadium the World Headquarters the lieutenants who serve silently (Clay) the hanger-oners like Skip Bayless making a living on any crum that hits the floor..

It is show business at its best.

And this was going on since way before the Jones. The 70s Cowboys inspired the book and movie North Dallas Forty.

A WR. In Lance Rentzel who is movie star handsome married to knockout actress Joey Heatherton but prefers 10 year old girls and quiet parks instead of 50000 fans cheering for him.

Truly.. the greatest show on turf.

But we love them.

As much as I admire Dalton's can-do attitude, Andy really has his work cut out for him in this contest. I can hardly wait to see how he responds to his new environment and its offensive surroundings. Let's hope our OL brings their best game along with them.

Andy's offensive support should be far better than what he had in Cincy. The defensive side of the ball may very well be a far more wanting question to be tested. Let's wish our pass rush and this defensive team good luck. I fully expect we'll need some. o_O

Dak's a leader and an outstanding player. But he's gone for this year. The wisdom of signing dalton is now more evident than ever. Albeit for a longer period than anticipated.
Dalton is in his 9th season?

He really has not been that injured that I recall. Hardly anything that might show up in performance ability. And injured as we are..Dalton has a powerful offense of players in Cooper Zeke and the rest.

Dalton should be capable of steady play. Enough to keep us competitive. Maybe a lot more than that with 11 games left.

We shall hope with all positive vibes for sure.

If he gets hurt it won’t be from a planned run for him. QB’s who use their legs are always more vulnerable to injury. Most likely this means Dak will never be the same threat with his legs again.
