I would agree here.

The fracture he had if it was me I would not be so willing to risk another injury.

And Dak has been willing to run in order to win. If it means Dak has to become more pocket oriented..

That might be problematic. If you look at his statistics it might show his completion % from the pocket vs. out of the pocket.

I do not know where you would find that. I'm sure somebody can tell us.

I also would think if he is less mobile it might make him improve his reads in order to get the ball out quicker.

So it remains to see where things might go from here.

It's so refreshing having a leader under center again rather than a guy who holds his fist up and threatens to punch everyone when the crowd is being respectful as he's being carted off the field.

Here is my fear with our team at this point.

It would be typical of our cowboys to see the defense play lights out against arizona while the offense flounders.

The problem we've had over the years is we just can't play consistent as a team.

I made the point that if we go heavy on paying the Offense, we would suffer on Defense because we would have to go out and pay guys to fill holes. Now, we are kinda seeing the results of these decisions. You could kinda see it coming over the last few years. Pay The Man is all good until you see what results in that approach if you don't spend wisely.

That's the kind of attitude everyone that has coached or played with Dak says he has, so the problem isn't a shortage of that. The problem is really more the defense. Dalton is a good QB that should help keep the offense putting up a lot of points, so the key is if the defense can step up and help the cause.

I think I get sucked into the fantasy football way that our team is built at times.

I know you don’t invest in WRs and RBs while neglecting defense but I guess I ignored that when evaluating this team.

I feel like I’m good at putting my Cowboys bias to the side but I think I got caught up in the hope of a new coach and all the skill players.

He is a vet and im sure he didn't come to lose. I believe in Dalton. Is guys like Cooper will bring his A game for Dalton this maybe a pleasant surprise . The offense needs BALANCE. We need to run Zeke. The cards are going to want to knock the run game out ASAP. We need to young guys to bring their A game. We have to run the ball. These young guys need to keep running down the field if Zeke is running. The receivers need to block well as long as they don't get rolled up on. The defense can't come looking unaware like they did two weeks ago.
