Does Dalton do anything better than Dak?

it has been mentioned that the offense will have to be tweaked to some degree now, like fewer if any RPO's, etc. With that, if certain plays are being pulled out, is there an opportunity to put more plays in that are Dalton's bread and butter? If so, what are they? What are his strenghts that can be played to? West Coast stuff?

I believe he's more accurate and maybe can go through progressions quicker. He's also more mobile than given credit for. I dont know though. I dont know how far off he is from his peak, or how much was playing on a bad team. Of course I'd rather have Dak, but this should be entertaining at least.

Dalton will have a chance to prove himself.

The results will be evident for all of us to see, one way or the other.

I hope he plays well and keeps the offense ranked #1. We’ll need that given our bad defense.

Yet Dak has a much higher completion percentage and higher yards per attempt.

I just laugh at people that say Dalton is more accurate. Dalton has years of 14, 16, 17 and 20 picks and that's more accurate. Prescott's worst season is 11 and his best is 4. Prescott's completion percentage of passes of 20 and 40 yards is higher than Dalton and oh BTW last season until week 15 Prescott led the entire NFL for those, something Dalton never did. So just WHEN has Dalton been more accurate. Was in during his 5 winless tries in the playoffs?

Dak overall better athlete who can make plays with his feet by scrambling than passing on the run. Andy Dalton a better drop back in the pocket passer
who scrambles very little. Overall Dak better but Andy can be very good downfield passer. But far as better only as dropping back in pocket and getting
rid of the ball.

Dalton is actually super young in QB age. Russell is 31, Rogers is 36-37 and you know how old Brees and Brady are.

Age isn’t a factor here. But can he play? We will see

First there have always been QB's that have played longer but that doesn't mean they are the normal. In less than two weeks Dalton will be 33 years old. That's not SUPER YOUNG for a QB. There have been more QB's that at age 33 that were/are backup QB's or have bounce around the league even if they were once starters. QB's that can be gotten for 3 mil aren't your Rodgers, Brady or Bress type QB's.

You aren't wrong, but thats a very narrow way to look at accuracy. Dak doesn't get enough credit for how much he has improved in that department. he still struggles with more pinpoint accuracy, but throws a very catchable ball. Im not sure the results will be better, worse, or the same, but you'll see a different style moving forward.

Wouldnt it be totally odd if with Dalton our offense is ranked 8th, but our defense were to somehow improve.

Dalton gets rid of the ball sooner, so not as much need to scramble around.

Zero that I can think of. There's a possibility he's a little better pre-snap just because he's been in the league so much longer but that's all I can find. I like Dalton and I believe Dallas can have success with him but as always this board underestimates Prescott and always sees greener grass on the other field.
