Like I said in another post:

Dak is a one-read QB. He can throw if he knows where he is going, but so can every other mediocre and average NFL QB. It’s against zone coverages in general where you see what he really is. He leaves yardage off the field, taking the check-down. His completion percentage remains high, because in this situations he’s just taking the safest play, instead of anticipating holes in the zone.

Question: Does Andy Dalton do anything better than Dak?
Methinks Andy reads defenses and gets the ball out quicker than Dak ...
Every QB has his high and lows -- Dak's fine & dandy but no exception!

Be careful, apparently any criticism of Dak (or compliment to Dalton) makes you a hater, and automatically means you believe Dalton is a better QB.

Dear lord, the Dak fan boys can't handle anything that may resemble a slight on Dak. I listed Daltons supposed MO. We will see how it shakes out. Regardless Id rather have Dak.
did you read the thread or just because you are a dak detractor you are jumping at an opportunity to argue....this was in response to somebody's false post and it stated facts.....

deal with it

it has been mentioned that the offense will have to be tweaked to some degree now, like fewer if any RPO's, etc. With that, if certain plays are being pulled out, is there an opportunity to put more plays in that are Dalton's bread and butter? If so, what are they? What are his strenghts that can be played to? West Coast stuff?

I don’t think it HAS to be tweaked. In actuality, Dalton can easily do what Dak has been doing, as seen on Sunday. Dak has confined the offense, not the other way around.

Andy Dalton actually provides more opportunity for MM to implement his own concepts, as well as it gives more flexibility with Andy to call plays out of the traditional drop-back for example.

These guys and completion percentage..

Elway and Marino threw a career upper 50 percentile, while Aikman 62. Please stop with this over-inflated statistic as the rules get easier and easier to fling the ball over the place. QBs can’t even be touched now. A QBs helmet was not sacred territory back then either. The last time you saw a team being allowed to play defense like the 90s was the Legion of Boom, when whiners use to say that they were allowed to get away with physicality. They completely and utterly stifled the ‘greatest offense in history’ with the Manning-led Broncos. Guys like Kurt Warner in the end stages of that era, threw for yardage, but piled up interceptions.

Saying Dak is more accurate than any of these dudes is so laughable, it would give many people a seizure for laughing so hard.

When you see Dak consistently with time to throw at over 3 seconds these years, any claim this dude had a bad OL line to overcome is just absurdly ridiculous.

......you might be able to say, he finally has a time to shine being on good offense. Red Derby might surprise the hell out of us.

Offensive tackles will be an issue..

I think they need to put Martin at tackle but they are really forcing this Terrence Steele thing.

This world? Earth, reality, etc. apologies if that’s not the world you’re from.

ath·let·i·cism
/aTHˈledəsizəm/

noun
  1. the physical qualities that are characteristic of athletes, such as strength, fitness, and agility.

are literal definitions acceptable? Is the fact the bench press is a part of the combine (where they measure athletic ability) a safe example?
So are interior offensive lineman in the NFL athletic?

And BTW, Joe Burrow has already been sacked 22 times.

Dak was blitzed 65 times. If you look at all the greats, like Tom Brady or Mahomes, it’s 32 and 40 respectively. It’s generally the mediocre or young QBs that get blitzed that much.

Ryan Tannehill is around 70% pass completion rate since joining the Titans. So is he a more accurate passer than the likes of Elway, Marino and Aikman or are there perhaps other factors to explain this...

Here is my take, in our 1st 4 games with Dak we went 1-3 (and were lucky to be 1-3) we won't give credit for last weeks win to either Dak or Dalton as we had a small lead when Dak got hurt and it was Dalton who made the comeback, so we will call last week a wash. Lets see what happens over the next 4 games and then compare shall we. We play Arizona, Wash, Eagles and Steelers the next 4 weeks, lets see what our record is with Dalton under center. He's got the same banged up O-Line Dak had and the same terrible D that Dak had....so lets see what happens

I will see what he does against Arizona and Pittsburgh. Not going to put much stock into the Wash and Phi games because they are terrible.

The funny thing about us, is our RPO usage is at 34 amd Dak has only run it with Zeke, ONCE for 2 yards. It’s embarrassing how much catering to Dak had turned Zeke into a decoy. 870 yards are either off if RPOs or play-action. Dak averaged a little over 9 yards per attempt off of play-action. Goff is, not surprisingly, number 1 in play action.

You can say, well Mahomes throws a lot on RPOs, but Mahomes has only 28 attempts on play-action and not even close to the 9 of Dak, he’s around 6 yards per catch.

Dak is basically a system QB, ruining Zeke’s career. Put a real QB with these skilled weapons and speed on the outside and Lamb on the inside, its lights out.

My man Carr, who was surrounded by a trash organization and now has some stability, who Dak-stans were telling us how much better Dak was, is at close to 75% and actually doing it against good defenses. I was saying a couple years back, can we trade him for Dak straight up..

Ryan Tannehil is a great example of a decent QB in this era that was surrounded by trash in Miami and with a RG and OL, with a change from Mariotta to Ryan, the Titans were probably the best team in football last year come play-off time. It took a miracle by a great QB like Mahomes, pulling off another half-time comeback to win. KC wasn’t the better team in my view.

Dak is more like Mariotta.. We’ve wasted years trying to cater to this guy and wasted the best years of our OL and RG.

We had a one point lead and was either in the RZ or right outside it when Dak got injured to take a larger lead. Dalton had to make a comeback because he fumbled the ball and failed to score on any of his other drives.

I'm not the one who is making comments like they are some kind of coach that has reviewed coaches film and broke down Prescott's handoffs.

Come on....we're all doing the same thing. It's why we are here. Some more...fervently...than others, for sure.

Just taking a leak on your day as always.

Ah...I see....you enjoy leaking on people. What an odd past time. But hey...have at it.

(Hmm...interesting...confessing to being an outright troll. I see, I get it now. I don't condone it but I get it. . )
