I honestly don’t recall a game this year when the other RB was that much worse than zeke. There were a couple that weren’t as good but not that much worse and a few were better.
One of the close ones was the UFA for the Rams and the other was a FA sitting at home when the Giants called him, Freeman.

He has been here 5 seasons now...before McCarthy got here and started rotating captains, I find it interesting that a Top-5 pick and face of the franchise like Zeke has never been selected as a team captain for a season previously.

You won’t find a post in my history about wanting to get rid of Dak. You’ll find me giving fair criticism to his mistakes like the tendency to take sacks around The 30 yard line and take the team out of field goal range, but also me saying he’s a QB you can win with.
You’ll also find I’ve always been skeptical of the Elliott contract and said that you don’t pay your RB like that.

Also, this is why tanking matters. Every game matters. In 2015, if the Cowboys didn't get that 1 win with Cassel vs. Washington, they would have picked #3 instead of #4.
That means we most likely would have taken a Joey Bosa and building your team around a RB never happens.

It all went downhill in 2015. After smartly letting Murray walk because they knew overpaying for a TB was a mistake, Jerry and Stephen showed a lack of football instincts and knowledge in 2015 when they convinced themselves what really was the issue in that lost season was not having a bellwether TB like Murray.
So they did a complete 180 and then used a high pick for Elliott. Then they compounded that idiotic move by handing him a huge contract when he held out. And this on top of all the off the field issues Elliott created for himself and the team.
What a completely horrendous line of decision making on the TB starting at the end of the 2015 season.
