He made Dak better.

McCarthy knows the basics and fundamentals of good quarterback play. Apart from that he's mostly a figurehead.

Certainly haven't seen anything good so far. Not hard to give us something more than Garrett. But this dude has brought nothing to the team and in fact has had a demonstrably worse effect on the team and many of our best players.

I think Barry Switzer was more animated on the sidelines. He just stands there and looks fat.

You dont have to be all angry on the sidelines and show emotion...you can be like Art Shell and get your point across

all you have to do is call a meeting monday and say “im going with 11 different guys on offense and defense.....and if you starters want your job then earn it back”

Agreed. He looks like a damn statue out there. The fact that he didn’t bench Zeke for at least a quarter or half really says a lot. Zero accountability here, as always

Didn't he spend time learning about analytics last year? Is he aware of the fact that running a fade in the end zone is about the dumbest play call you can make (and anyone who studies analytics has known this since like 2014). Why is that even in the playbook?

I know we were getting killed at that point, but still. He sucks!

McCarthy actually sort of reminds me of Charlie Weis at Notre Dame.

Just a big fat guy who knew a thing or two about quarterbacks...but the rest of the team was a leaky ship and coach couldn't plug the holes.

He does, but usually Aaron Rodgers bails him out. Aaron isn’t walking through that door for the fat man

Mike wasn't my first choice, but i thought it was a solid hire. We thought he'd bring toughness, discipline, his offensive scheme and his long history as a play caller... so far he is 0-4 on these 4 things. If he is bringing nothing to the table, he should go back watching games with his friends in his basement. So far...Pathetic

I have been thinking the same thing.
But one thing to note, is mike usually controls the offense and calls plays, but the jones boys neutered him in that area,
and hung the albatross kellen around his neck.
So maybe he is just letting kellen kill the team, so he can get rid of him and take over play calling.
The only way that happens is if offense looks really bad.

I have a theory, jones boys can take bad defense, that doesnt bother them all that much, but bad offense is something
they cant handle. if it continues , they will do something, what I dont know, but something.
