Here's a thought that those that want to draft a QB to replace Prescott haven't thought of. Even if the Cowboys don't win another game, but they will, and end up with the top 2 - 4 pick in the draft, and remembering that Jerry, Stephen and McCarthy have said repeatedly that Prescott is their QB of the future, the Cowboys could trade that pick and get a couple of 1st rounders to spend on the defense.
.
.
I doubt the majority of people who want Prescott replaced remember those statements. It is likely they have read and heard the statements in the past. However, they believe events will play out exactly as they envision--despite the never changing fact they are neither the owner, director of player personnel nor head coach.

How about Marvin Wilson? Parsons? Surtain?
Did you watch the game last night?
Have you watched any games this year?

Yep at this rate we could near the top of the draft and in position to pick Trevor Lawrence.
We are...but this team needs help everywhere. The days of this team being “a player or two away” are long, long gone. This team has very real and deep talent problems, and QB in my opinion isn’t one of them.

And this team has too many contracts they don’t need at this stage in their development. This team has the contracts of a contender, but with the injuries and lack of talent elsewhere, is now in complete free fall.

Yes, all of this really sucks. But the self proclaimed architect of this smelly dumpster fire, sits in the owner’s box completely and totally clueless about how to fix this, and what’s worse, so arrogant they can’t accept responsibility for this either. The Jones family can practically print money, but they have proven over two decades that they are completely clueless how to construct a quality roster.

We need someone in the division to win a few games. Let them win the division and pick in the 20s.

We already won too many games for that.

Jets, Giants and probably Commanders are gonna finish below us and there are another 3-4 teams that could finish below us like the Falcons, Chargers, Jags, Lions or Eagles

We will pick Top 10 for sure.

One of Basham (DE/DT), Barmore (DE/DT) or Cisco (S) will do for me

Also if Sam Cosmi is still there we need to draft him to replace Tyron Smith

why draft a QB?
your not gonna want to pay him beyond his rookie deal either.
sooo.....we just draft a different one every 4yrs i guess.
pay Dak...draft Alex Leatherwood...or Micah Parsons.

Exactly. If the young QB is good enough to earn another deal, he’s gonna get paid. I don’t see what’s so hard to understand about that.

first, if you've watched this team for 6 weeks, I can't imagine who you think this team can beat.

second, it was pretty obvious this team was bad early on & things have only gotten worse. draft position was the only thing you have to gain.

third, QB is the most important position so taking Trevor is generally the right answer. however, you would have the option to trade the pick & gain a boatload so don't look at it as only about drafting Trevor. the important thing is getting the pick and the leverage it brings.

How do all the people fell when I put a post about tanking?
No matter what happens this team is not primed to win a SB with this group of players. Please just reset.
Look at Atlanta, they should also be in the Trevor race.

I'm all for paying Dak if

1. Tyrone Crawford is off this team

3. Jaylon Smith is off this team.

These a re bad contracts along wihh DLaws bloated contract for essentially not doing much.

Not after they beat the Giants. I guarantee if somehow they make it inside the top 5 it will be a LT I think the guy from Oregon is the consensus. They will sign Dak of course regardless what fans think of him.

We. Don’t. Need. A. QB. That would be a complete waste of a pick. It would be 2020 all over again. Lawrence or Fields would play behind a injury infested O-line, and with another historically bad defense. We need:

DT, Safety, Cornerback, O-linemen (Not sure if we should get a LT just in case Tyron goes down or retires, or a Guard), LB, maybe DE, and a kicker and punter.
Leave the offense alone, besides maybe trying to bring in a newer OC with a good resume.

The only winnable games I see left are games against the skins and the last game against the giants. Maybe the vikings depending on which cousins shows up.

But honestly, I don't see dallas being favored in any of them. I don't see them being competitive really. The defense is just so bad.

People that want dak don't want to hear it, but this team would be better off getting lawrence. They are nowhere close to being a contending team and giving all the money to dak will just be like patching a leak. Dak deserves to get paid, but hopefully by someone else.
Who knows with this bunch? From what I have seen, I don't think they can beat anybody. The defense is historically bad, and now the wheels are off on the offense also.
