Right now, I’m reiterating the case that I made over and over and over again: coaching was not the issue in Dallas.

A disciplined process of drafting and developing good players and building a team around the trenches, a run-heavy playcalling mix on offense and a simplified defense was a reasonable model for building a team around. Limiting the chaos that Jerry brings as much as possible and keeping everything in-house with players who generally respected the staff. It made sense.

We all agreed we didn’t win enough. But the illusion of motion isn’t progress. As fans, at the very least we should be focused on the actual cause of the issue, because that way it’s more likely to be addressed eventually. Everybody fell for the tennis ball-head-fake of blaming the HC and then blaming the QB. It was obvious. It was dumb. We should know better at this point. I said so at the time. Guess what? The actual issue is still the actual issue in Dallas.

Coaching absolutely was part of the issue, and now we don’t punt from the 40 anymore or kick field goals on 4th inches anymore.

Urban Meyer was the innovative offensive mind and culture changer we needed.

He still is.

Urban Meyer will insist on naming his own GM, similar to how Pete Carroll did when he left USC for Seattle.

Nick Saban worked for and still meets with Bill Belichick regularly. After feeling he didn't have the control he needed in Miami, he will demand complete autonomy on personnel if he ever comes back to the NFL.

Something like that would be our only hope.

Unless the "unnamed player" is willing to put his name on it I have no interest in some punk weasel backstabbing the coaches anonymously. I mean you don't need a coach to tell you not to fumble.. nor do you need a coach to tell you not to let a wide receiver run right past you.. nor do you need a coach to tell you not to throw interception or miss tackles. and on and on. This season is pretty much over as it is so exposing any locker room cancers would be the only tangible benefit to this mess. Find out who is talking and get him out of town.

They need to be taught... they just started playing Football yesterday. :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao2::lmao2::lmao2:

Little man babies...

I have been a die hard Cowboy fan since I was 7 years old... will be 49 next month, and I am starting to hate them.

Wait till we drop a few more games. Helmets will start to fly in the locker room. Players will start calling each other out. They will all blame the staff. Our Offense stunk it up last night. But the Defense has stunk the whole year. So I wonder if these players are talking more about Nolan or MM. It will all fall on MM. But players like Jaylon has already kind of complained about the scheme.

I do believe McCarthy may be looking at one-and-done.

But I'd also get rid of 90% of this roster, including Dak, Zeke, and Cooper.

Dak is one of the few who cares, which I appreciate, but you just can't give him 25% of the cap.

What was with not blitzing our safety or CB. Is it against our rules? Why sit back every play and let Jaylon play QB spy all night. Why not blitz and let Murray earn the throws? Arizona had it figured out. When they realized neutralize dallas DEs and allow Murray to play backyard ball while Jaylon runs East west all day. Once that happened it was over

That is who I wanted as well. Meyer is involved in every aspect of coaching from the offense to the defense to the special teams. He demands perfection. And would have been able to reign our 90 million dollar running back in.

Not only that I feel like he would get the most out of zeke.

Hes the only one who does deserve it.

This kind of calling out of the staff in the media is analogous to an 8.0 earthquake. The statements are general in nature but it’s hard not to assume that these comments are directed particularly at the defensive staff.

1000%....no question, I'm guessing 3-4 defensive players ( won't say but have an idea at least 3)
We have 4-3 players and Nolan wants to do this hybrid crap and confuse opposing offenses with our line up. But no one knows who to cover or what gap to be in. I don’t think these players liked it from the start. I think these players are for sure talking about the Defense coaches not teaching. Some of these players need to be held by the hand and shown a few times.

Dumb and dumber. It all goes back to them. All of it.

Yes. I think our only hope is give full control to an innovative coach and hire a GM. Highly doubtful but I’m calling Meyer in the off-season. I’d also love Eric Bieniemy.

You’re only saying what everybody is thinking.

But I’m taking the high road, because nobody likes to hear “I told you so.” We don’t need that crap sitting at 2-4.

But I did tell everybody so. Like, a lot. Like, it’s kind of embarrassing how much I had to say it and still nobody wanted to believe me and how right I was about it.

But I’m keeping that all under my hat because saying it out loud only makes it worse. I’m real classy like that.
Dude, 10 years and just two first round playoff wins vs only six games with a decimated roster.

You're a long way from I told you so, pal.

Nick Saban failed because he picked Daunte Culpepper over Drew Brees. He goes the other way, and he never goes back to college.

I think nolan maybe looking at 1 more game and done. MM will get another year because of virus and injuries. He is a Offense style HC and his Offense was putting up points.

If he fires Nolan soon he may save his job. If not then you may be right.
