If as you believe Dallas has no intent on signing him then sure trade him but if they do intend on signing him for longer term then why would I trade a very good defensive player when I am trying to build a defense?

If we lose the next two games, would you trade him to a contender before the November 3rd deadline?

Isn't that what a smart organization would do?

We're not resigning him.

Don't rule resigning him out.

I think a team would take Amari considering it has an out after 1 year w/ a 6M cap hit. After 2 years it falls to 4M.

I know Jerry is going to hope and wish and pray till the very end that his team can win the division so it most likely won't happen, but even he said a few days we need to adjust expectations after the Dak injury. I really hope they move Aldon for a mid-round pick.

It would be nice if for once this team showed some damn foresight.

trading Amari would be extremely foolish and shortsighted. his contract is structured excellently, and we get far, far more value by having him this year and next.

Because he's 35 and won't be around any more when and if we finally get this D built.

Unless a 1+ is offered, then the value is in the draft picks.

1st off he is not 35, 2nd he has been out of the league for a while and so the wear and tear is not the same as a 31 year old who have been playing over the last 4 years.

they obviously dont understand dead money in the cap from his bonus money etc that we would still have to pay and his deal is large enough no team would offer better then a 3rd for him..not worth even discussing..

Absolutely. Get a mid-round pick if you can. I'd rather see what Gregory and Anae could do as they are under cheap contracts for next year. Anae in particular has shown a few flashes (incredibly disappointed he didn't see snaps against Zona) and I'd wish he would play more.

Why wait two more weeks? I’d trade him today.

Bonus is 8 mil.

Hard to say. Depends on if a possible playoff team is WR needy. I agree that a 3rd is not worth discussing.

You're not going to get anything more for him than you would a comp pick if he signs elsewhere.
I don't believe that's true. I think we can get a 4th for him now. Probably a 6th as a comp pick.

Ah, he's only 31. Good point.

As a player ages, the lack of wear and tear doesn't add to his player life as much as you think.

not a point, stupid point Zeke is still performing when used , they went to pass oriented offense and been playing from behind, Gurley got cut because he couldn't stay healthy, same with Fournette, and Johnson..Barkey may miss his payday with injury concerns..

difference is zekes never hurt and performs very well for what he been handed io this season with the Ol and playing an entirely pas happy offense plays from behind every game..dudes been playing over 80% of the offensive snaps being a Blocker, used like FB, and in pass plays, dude never seems to leave the field.. they are over using him IMO because of the situations and not in an efficient run game

poor example..its not the same
….you do realize the haters/blamers are coming? Zeke's a fall guy. KMoore would have dismissed Emmitt.

I'd try. But isn't he on a one year deal? Every team knows dallas won't be able to afford him if he continues to play well. They might just take their chances in free agency. If someone trades for him they are still going to have to give him an extension.
The contract actually makes him a more attractive trade piece IMO. He's a quality 3-month rental for a contender.
