Its amazes me how he was ever considered a blue chip prospect. Hell it amazes me how he played in 2018, or for that matter last week. Why is he capable of doing so much better but then manages to do so much worse?

Scheme and execution. If he can run to the ball he covers a lot more ground than the average LB. If he has to take on OL or cover the entire field he isn't going to do it. Not that it excuses loafing late in a blowout, but Robert Quinn is a good player and if you double team him on a running play he is going to look awful.

but more often than not....he gets stonewalled or runs into the back of his own teammates when he blitzes
Yes but that's from the angle of the MLB which you have to traverse through the whole trenches with 300+ DL/OL

An EDGE simply 1 on 1's with the tackle

Not really...he sucks 75% of the time. And I don't have a dog in this fight. I recognized that about him a long time ago....so I just chime in when a new thread starts up about this guy. Clearly...there is a good portion of the fanbase that are at a loss for words on what that guy is doing out there on the field. Anyone who thinks he is even an average football player have been hypnotized by Jerry.

Just like I used to say about Bruce carter, make him an edge rusher where he doesn't have to think or react. Although he still probably won't be worth what JJ paid him, nor would JJ take that lying down. JJ "I paid him to be a top 10 LBer, not a part time edge rusher, put him in!".

We know why... because he was a great story.

And Jerry loves paying players he drafted because he thinks it makes him and his people look like good talent evaluators. Especially the players Jerry took a gamble on, because we know Jerry loves to brag about what a risk-taker he is.

Jaylon is practically Jerry's dream player, whether he can actually play or not.

This, Jerry think signing them to big dollar contract validates them as stars but the rest of the league looks at the film.

Looks to me that the coaches are good teachers.

Kidding. This roster is loaded with clowns.

In this debate. I stopped chiming in about this guy for awhile....because anyone who thinks he can play have been lulled to sleep by the Jones boys. He is not even an average football player

Like the opposing coaches who were part of voting him into the Pro Bowl?

I can understand WHY people might think that. But I think it is more simple than that. He simply cannot play. Effort should be EASY thing. Effort cannot be coached. As an organization....the Cowboys would (or should) lose the lockeroom if they let this guy get away with a lack of effort week after week. I think the organization knows, the players know...AND he knows he cannot play. But what I can't figure out is....how long are they going to let this continue. Since fans now have access to the ALL 22....clearly the Cowboys should understand that they cannot hide him from us. Right now they are insulting our intelligence....but I guess that has never mattered to them.

Cannot hide from us now, but what about when the D goes over the games on film. Surely everyone from the coaches down to the janitors can see this awfulness on film. You would think it would be embarrassing for Jaylon to watch this in front of teammates.

Translation: Cal Poly got schooled last week and spent this week hoping Jaylon would loaf late in a blowout so he could start a thread about it.

"He sucks until he doesn't" is about a bright as Cal Poly gets.

Hey guyz, Mr. Bed Pan Flipper has surmised that all we need to do is have a defense that leaves Jaylon without any responsibility, completely clean from taking on blocks, and where he can run in straight lines to make a tackle.

Lulz, braindead WeHo bum.
