Did you here his love fest for Wince? Cowherd actually had the nerve to take away Dak’s rookie season and say Dak is a product of the NFC East. If you take away Wentz second season and the NFC East what would he be. He conveniently leaves out that Dak is 5-3 against Wentz.

The guy is a whole *** clown. He said, AFTER HIS FIRST PRESEASON GAME, that Lamar Jackson was a bust and Sam Darnold is the next Tom Brady.

And he said it with such conviction and certainty.

Guy is truly a terrible person.

Eventually we'll see articles saying that the players don't relate to McCarthy and that he's lost the locker room. Predictable.

Precisely. And Urban is smart enough to know better. HE calls his own shots.

That's why I was hoping he got the job but knew Old Jerrah wasn't having it. It killed him that tuna was giving those press conferences and he wasn't on TV nearly as much. He pulled that power play to bring TO in here against the tuna wishes.

Knowing how loyal the Jones’ have been historically, I think McCarthy’s job is safe this season for sure and probably next year too.

Right or wrong Jerry will rationalize this horrible season being due to COVID and a rash of serious injuries to key players, which can’t be denied.

What I do anticipate we’ll be seeing is Nolan (and some of the position coaches) getting the boot after this season.
Right or wrong, you are right lol
Not many teams would fire a veteran head coach after one season anyway
You might fire a rookie HC that was obviously in over his head
But a vet is gonna get some time and there is also a money factor
HC contracts aren’t like player contracts
They get paid. Period

As I recall the GM there didn't give him a lot to work with either. They were never really active in the offseason or in free agency. Once they started losing their receivers to injury or free agency there was never much of a push to replace them either. It's easy to look at any situation and just blame one dude because you don't like him.

I don’t dislike him. I’m indifferent. I think he’s overrated. Plus you can draft defense. He didn’t.

I’m 0% surprised. McCarthy is literally Garrett without Jason’s redeemable qualities like being a player’s coach and motivational speaker. Most GB fans wanted him out and will tell you the only reason he won a SB is because he had prime Aaron Rodgers.

Yes the players need to step up and be held accountable, but that’s literally a coaches job - to hold them accountable. To create a culture and an atmosphere where the players do their jobs, respect each other and know exactly what’s expected of them day in and day out. To play a smart game and not make stupid mistakes. To make informed football decisions that outsmart the other team and set the team up for victory. To hire competent coordinators and position coaches. To light a fire in your players to play for themselves and each other. That’s the formula behind successful teams across the NFL. You can’t just walk in somewhere, throw a bunch of athletes together, say “have at it, you know what to do” and call it a team.

This regime is just a continuation of what we’ve had for the past decade plus. Comfortable, complacent and underperforming.

Why do I feel Parcells would have the team running sprints untill everyone threw up if there was an "anonymous" leak on his watch.

That pretty much eliminates the competent coaches.

Well, I'm on record from the jump that I didn't like McCarthy and didn't think much of him as a Coach but having said this, shut the hell up players. You guys aren't doing the very basics needed to even claim you are solid and that's not on McCarthy. That's on you guys, you been playing this game since you were 6 or 7. This is stuff all you guys know and you are not doing it.

They'd be wrong. He won a super bowl due to BJ Raji and Cullen Jenkins.

Jerry Jones is about money...he gave McCarthy a 5yr contract and is not going to PAY McCarthy to NOT coach for 4 more years.....Like it, Love it or hate it....McCarthy will be back as HC

just look at it as dead cap money.
