Does anyone know what Crawford actually did on that play? Its not like this group of refs had a highlight reel performance Monday night, I still want to know what happened.
You can see what they called in the first post of the "Jaylon Smith: Relentless Effort, Heart of a Champion" thread. It's in the 3rd tweet there. He gets into it with one of the offensive lineman and shoves him to the ground. Not sure why they called it taunting though.

I mean, maybe but it looks like they filmed it from Mars.
Yeah, that is some camera angle. I'm on a 46" screen and I can see it pretty good if I make the video full screen. Right as Crawford goes off screen, you can see him going back after the guy. I'm assuming that is when the taunting was called and not the shove.

I can see it, I just wonder if the offensive lineman did anything to provoke him.

If anything, I'd expect that to get an unnecessary roughness call, but if that's what they called taunting on, he must have been yelling, "Hey, while you're down there...".

You have to know your history. He was getting into it with Justin Pugh. Pugh is a known agitator and he hates the cowboys.

Opening night week 1 in 2015 in the locker room he was going on and on about how Dallas isn't any good and got lucky to beat NY.

He was jawing with the lineman for awhile baiting them.

why hasn't super dak got in the faces of these losers? I thought he was a leader. I guess he's happy with 50 percent effort as long as he and the other losers get paid.

Anyone actually see this "penalty"? I didn't, I am not sticking up for Crawford, not a fan. But, I figured the way refs call penalties against the Cowboys , he probably nodded at a guy and the ref threw the flag.

I was wondering the same thing. It normally takes quite a bit of body language to draw a taunting penalty and the TV feed didn't show anything, so you have to wonder what happened.

Taunting is usually a penalty for verbally, or by gesture, laughing at a fallen or losing opponent. Like unsportsmanlike conduct without physical contact.

I know, but how often do you see it called for a verbal comment? That's my point, its unusual and I'd like to know what happened.

LOL at a base salary of 8 million and with one solo tackle Jerry is paying 3 million dollars per tackle. I don't know about you but that feels like a lot.

I would too. But, it must have been something pretty egregious. (I don’t buy into the “officials are anti-Cowboys” stuff). I’m really surprised none of the local media asked about it. (Of course, it isn’t like that was an important part of the outcome of the game, but I’d like to know if the coaches addressed it with him or the official)

I just had to dig a bit deeper. In case any one is wondering:

2020 3 million dollars per tackle so far (one)
2019 9 million dollars per tackle (one)
2018 0.5 million per tackle (16)
2017 0.5 million per tackle (16)

I am starting to wonder if Crawfords contract may be the worst contract for a defensive player in the history of the NFL. And the crazy thing is that people will still defend it. The biggest joke that comes to mind is the Albert Haynesworth contract. He ended up getting 41 million from Washington over 2 years with a 31 solo tackles (6.5 sacks). This works out to 1.32 million per solo tackle. Our boy Crawford averages just under a million per solo tackle so I guess he is a bit better deal that Albert was for Washington. Then again Albert did have 6.5 sacks in there so it could easily be argued that the all time worst contract ever for a defensive player is better value than Crawford.

You hear so much is said on the field, for them to throw a flag it really had to be something.

Nnamdi Asomugha to Philly at 60 Million over 5 years might be worse than Crawford. And its a myth that anyone here has defended Crawford's contract here in the last 2 or 3 years.
