#79 was indeed kicking arse. Jaylon on the two "jogging" plays was playing hippety hop to the barber shop. No effort at all. They just ran right by Worley as he slept soundly. Lots of lazy-arse play.
Well said ,

If Jaylon cant run he shouldnt be on the field , and Worley was lazy and irresponsible, he is not even trying to stay with the guy just went past him.

It's recent. Someone posted it here. He was basically saying most of these defensive schemes aren't rocket science. He was alluding towards effort.

I know it was posted again recently but there was also a comment about deja vu which led me to believe that it was Past comments being shown again

Because nearly every coach will always error on the side of the more experienced "talented" or paid players.

One would think the coaches would want to send a message. I guess thats overrated, fan board mythology.

If arians can call out tom brady, mac should have the stones to call out the defense. Really annoys me that he won't. That's not being a leader.

JJ probably put a clause in MM’s contract that he can’t. As long as JJ is breathing this team won’t win.

When you prioritize Instagram stars and redemption products over football players, this is what you get. When you reward mediocrity and "feel good stories" instead of making good football plays and busting your ***, this is what you get. It all begins and ends with Jerry and Stephen. Period.

Exactly. When you let guys get away with lackadaisical effort you set an example to the entire team. We don't know what goes on behind closed doors, but its obvious poor effort has not effect on playing time.

I completely agree as well about Knight. He did the job required. And I think lack of confidence and experience prevented him from 'burying the other guy'. But it wasn't a requirement of the play.
Actually, putting a defender on his back should be a requirement on every play. If that's not your mentality as an Olineman, and if that's not your effort on every play, you truly are not giving your best on every play. That's just a fact.

Only play I sort of disagree on is that blocking play with Brandon Knight.

Should he have put Baker on his back? Sure.
Could he have held onto the block a little bit longer? Maybe.

I think he was anticipating the ball to be gone at that point.

And I definitely don’t absolve Zeke from being responsible for fumbling. That’s on Zeke.

Yeah, I agree. Pass blocking is more about keeping your guy away from the QB than driving him into the dirt. This wasn't bad effort by Knight IMO and to absolve Zeke from the fumble is pretty ridiculous.

So before Jerry signs an extension check, no one bothers to show him film?

No it isn't.
