Would you trade a 2nd round pick for Quinnen Williams?

Not how to evaluate. Quinnen is having trouble shedding OLinemen. That's how you evaluate his run stopping.
No he isn't, he is being doubled constantly and still playing the run well. He has played great against the run. The disappointment with him is he was expected to be able to provide a pass rush and hasn't. His run defense is being praised

Nope, they need to do a Gruden and trade as many players as possible FOR DRAFT PICKS!!!

Even if a competent GM was brought in it would take 3-5 years to even think about contending...

This team is trash.

The only players I think should be untouchable are last year's draft class. LVE, Gallup, Martin...

Good luck. Jones will never change. He is a fraud.

Nope, no more trades or signing FAs until some major issues are addressed on this team. Can't bring in new talent and expect them to excel when the guy playing next to him has already called it a year. Wait until the off season then BLOW THIS TEAM UP!!!!!!!!!!!!! This year's team is just going through the motions, they're not getting better they're getting worse and the sad thing is they know this and are trying to cover their a$$e$ by secretly speaking to the press about how bad the coaching staff is, when it's actually them that are stinking up the team. Nope, start unloading the HIGH PRICED TALENT if we can find a team gullible enough to trade with us. I think everyone realizes that this team needs to be rebuilt which will take some time to complete, but it would be better than watching this year's garbage year after year.

We need all out picks. Especially with how high of a pick we can get. We’re at 8. We could be top 5 by years end.

Not in isolation; it would have to be part of a bigger picture to be truly worthwhile.

Since we re likely to have to ywo third-round picks one being a compensatory a la Byron Jones I will be more interested in giving up a third-round pick for Williams, considering his immense draft grade and stock coming out of bama
and the time is probably right now as the closer it gets to draft time the demand and despair maybe even higher as much as a first-rounder for Williams.
I do question why are the Jets shopping Williams as it would make much sense to build around him as this is only his second year in the NFL...
..

I don’t watch the Jets so I have no clue if this guy can play.

Trades we should’ve made..

Minkah Fitzpatrick last year...

Not only does Pittsburgh get Minkah they also get Chase Claypool who is a high upside wideout.

Imagine how much different this season would be if we resign Byron and had Fitzpatrick.

Fitzpatrick lolololol

To answer the question..absolutely not..

Good teams are building their defenses from back to front...aside from that..this Cowboys team is trash...they should be selling, not buying

Best guess without knowing anything about their situation with him, is they could be looking to collect as many picks as they can to rebuild after the season. Especially if they think they may need to move for a QB. Might be to move just about anything that is a trade asset

That's the jets being another example of a bill o Brien type organization.
It's a reason why teams like jets lions even the browns have been perennial losers year in and year out and top of the draft year in, year out.
Bills maybe finally submerging from that pack.

Stunning to me is that this second pick is likely to be closer to a 1st than a 3rd (figure 40 or so overall).

People around here are willing to give that up for a DT who had a bad rookie year (granted he is starting to come around a bit of late), plays the same position as the two younger DTs we have....yet when it came to a guy like Jamal Adams people wanted to hang on to picks like they were gold.

The majority wouldn't have traded pick 40 for him last year...

Tells me not much more other than people remember him from being picked 3rd overall not that long ago, haven't seen or heard much of him since, and think we are getting a top ten pick for a 2nd.

Theres a reason they are trying to move him rather than build around him.

As far as the future....maybe we ought to have an idea of who the DC is going to be and what the scheme will be before trading premium picks for players.

How many in the media this week blasted Jerry for not having a plan....just trying to fit pieces together?

Which is it?

The problem is that JJ is 78 and he wants a SB asap whereas the sensible thing to do is accept that we arent going to compete in the next 2 /3 years, bite the bullet for next two seasons, allow the bad contracts to expire whilst building through the draft.

Sometimes a bad/trash team can overshadow/hide solid talent. In other words, just because isn't doing much on bad doesn't mean he can't or even be an ALL Pro. We need to build our trenches with top talent.......I want a DLine similar to Washington or 49ers. Adding Williams alone with a healthy Hill would lock down the interior.
