And Roger said Romo was a better QB than him......
Roger is just modest. Romo was better than given credit for, especially in the last half of his career when he stopped the stupid turnovers and was one of the best QBs in the league. Aikman is also a very modest person. Roger and Troy have nothing to prove. The Super Bowl tings do all of the talking for them.

...you might include Zeke, but once he signed on that dotted line.. The Devil has gotten more than his share. ..;)

CJ is flat wrong about the titans being king of the NFL in RBs and Ewok is far better then Eddie George, period ...f the fumbling nice that all you got..we are talking high level production and two facts

Earl Cambell belongs to Texas not Tennessee , you cant us e him, period and EG was not nearly as good as Zeke, stats prove that out big time..

so They get to claim Henry and CJ with EG bringing up the final player..

as discussed rams, Cowboys and other teams have had a better run of backs..

so yes Tony , Emmitt, walker, and zeke are some of the best RB the NFL has ever seen..
Titans/Oilers are the same team so you are wrong about Earl not counting for the Titans list. And you can't so easily dismiss Ewok's fumbling. He loses games for us when he does that.

so does Daks 34 fumbles and 40 Int over the same period..Zeke had one season with one fumble , one with 3 , it happens its not an excuse but it doesnt change the facts that he is one of the best of his generation and some hater troll tool cant change facts..he will get it remedied..

your opinion doesnt matter to me because zeke around the league by his peers and most fans know hes great..they dotn throw him under a bus for personal reasons, you dont liek the guy fine but thank goodness how the nfl keeps stats and ranks players, Zeke will always be regarded as great..

I say that when the Oilers left to another state changed their name they dont get to keep the old records or players..that stays in Houston..thats what team should suffer for turning their back on their state and fan base..

even with Cambell hes far overrating Eddie George, Henrys no better then George and as good a short burst of career CJ had , hes not one of the greatest ever,,

the Titan's are maybe 3rd or 4th on my lists and well its my list and few other posted teams like the rams, steers, Cowboys etc and even KC that can stake claim to this..hes homer picked his team off name recognition without looking at stats and how history viewed each player..

Cowboys are clearly #1. Other teams can argue over #2.

Facts!! The Cowboys' top 3 all-time rushers all retired as top 5 all-time rushers in NFL history. Granted, 2 of them didn't finish their careers as Cowboys, but Tony Dorsett was still No. 3 (Walter Payton, Franco Harris) when he left. Emmitt Smith was still the NFL's all-time leading rusher by the time he left.

I don't think anyone was mad at Emmitt (except maybe the Jones family) because everyone agreed he was grossly underpaid for the performance he was putting out there. He was a back to back rushing champ AND a key cog in a Super Bowl run and he was set to make less than $500,000 in '93. When the agent came to him asking for a raise Jerry should have just said "how much you want?" and wrote the check. He ended up giving Emmitt like 100K more than Thurman Thomas' deal which was still a bargain. But I am with you on Zeke.. I have seen enough signs of his being a really tough runner who is having to make a lot of yards on his own. He's averaging more yards per carry AFTER contact than before contact. That pretty much says it all. He's getting crap for blocking on most plays and he still gets me 4 yards almost every time no matter what the defense tries to do. I won't defend the fumbles, hell he doesn't even defend the fumbles but I think the kid cares.. maybe too much because I think the fumbles in the last game were clearly a guy trying to do too much. He needs to settle down, and play his game and get out of his own head and he'll be fine.

I couldn't have said this any better.

Take Zeke off that list. He had one great year. He doesn’t amount to the other RB’s that came before him.
He led the league in rushing twice. Take him off the list my ***.

Also this is not even close, the Cowboys have two HOF running backs and two others who led the entire league in rushing in Elliott and Murray.

IN HISTORY

https://www.inquirer.com/sports/dodgers-braves-world-series-chris-johnson-natasha-cloud-sports-news-20201019.html#:~:text=Chris Johnson says Titans have best RBs in history&text=“Titans have the best running,,” Johnson said on Twitter.

I have to disagree its top 3 maybe but when your team were the oilers before in a different state different name, you cant claim Earl..

but even if its allowed

Our DC have, had

Tony Dorsett
H.Walker
Emmitt Smith
Murray
Zeke

im going to say we are #1 because its all been on the original DC since 1960

what other teams make the top 5 curious..

Who cares....

If they think so and need it to sleep well let them have it.

better to talk about then all the doom gloom and negative redundant posts we see daily. Excuse me for actually throwing up a distraction to this sad place..

This is not a sad place. Its a realistic place.

The franchise is in a sad state. And this place just comments on it.

Calvin Hill, Duane Thomas and Don Perkins.......... Preston Pearson also

Duane Thomas deserves more love in this thread. He was instrumental in Dallas breaking through and winning their first SB. He was a head case but Bob Lilly has commented on what a great back he was. He might be the most talented back in franchise history.

Let's not get carried away.. From a physical gifts standpoint I don't think there is any argument to be made for anybody being above Herschel. He just landed in our laps when the whole team was in such a state of decline that the only way he could lift it up was to leave and fetch a bunch of draft picks. But a 220 pound guy with sub 4.3 speed and WR hands is just stoopid. The fact that he is sill 12th on the all purpose yards list is not talked about nearly enough. Herschel was a baaaad man.. His timing for arriving in Dallas was just off by about 5 years. It would have been interesting to see what he could have done in an offense that gave him the ball as much as it did Emmitt. Not saying he would have had the same results.. but I bet we would not have been dissatisfied either..

Walker was certainly a physical freak. No disagreement there.
