Why bother?

We are not winning jack without Dak so giving up picks for a player right now is totally pointless. And no, I dont consider winning the East at 6-10 something to get a hard on over.

Owner Jerry Jones and his front office have a recent track record of being a buyer in order to push an underperforming group upward; the 2018 swap of a first-round pick for Amari Cooper accomplished that.

In Jerry’s Friday visit with 105.3 The Fan, he hinted at which way he leans.

"More likely to add'' than not, he said, adding when asked about certain needs, "Specifically no. Generally, eyes wide open."

We should be shopping for guys for next year at a good price. Development guys on defense, because we have lot of needs, and lots of progress stoppers we should just sit.

Lol IF he thinks he can right this ship by making an addition or two he's wrong.

We lost our starting QB on top of an already doomed season.

Theres no coming back this season. Its time to begin preparing for next year. I hate saying that too, but when your defense is historically bad, and your franchise QB is out what other choice do we have?
The only thing that could fix this freak is trading for a pro bowl level o-lineman.

Something doesn't add up here. If something is too good to be true, it usually is.
Flamma, trust me. It is too good to be true.

The guy has played a decent last couple of games but hasnt played well at all otherwise.

People are thinking we can steal a top 5 pick for pennies on the dollar. Not so.

Promise that.

I'll take him for a fourth. If it's the comp 3rd, I wont lose my mind...but definitely not a top 40 overall.

We dont even know what scheme we may be running next year or who the DC may be.

He plays 3tech. So does Gallimore and Hill.

Let's tap the brakes.

You gotta know when to hold'em
Know when to fold'em
Know when to walk away
And know when to run

Fold and walk away Jerry.

Is anyone actually saying we have interest?

So just asking.

We trade a 2nd for Quinnen Williams. Not happy? We could end up with literally the worst DT in the league in Trysten hill or another taco. I’m not for overpaying. But he’s good and still on a rookie contract

Best preparation for next season is keep your picks
I’m guessing they will be high picks

My not try a mega trade
Denzel Mims, Quinnen Williams, Marcus Maye and a 2022 3rd
To the Cowboys for
Micheal Gallup, Xavier Woods 2021 4th and 5th and 2022 4th and 5th.
Build towards the future.

Gallup has a boat load of Value. And we would use our 1st, 2nd or 3rd rounders.

Makes it a bit easier to swallow.

The story about Quinnen Williams is more rumor than fact. A NY Sports writer said the Jets are going into a full rebuilding mode and while they are not shopping Williams around the would probably listen to offers of a 2nd round pick.

If we ever address the situation with our problem under evaluating the safety and dt position, I will be happy for next year. We obviously know this year is in the trash, but if we can get players with multiple cheap years, that have proven to at least be average, it's worth taking the look. OMG their a Cowboy their automatically an all star, but we have a few positions shocker it happens most every year, where the starters would not start for another team, safety and dt a yearly trend, we tried solving it this year by getting an overaged player and by safety, idk *** just happened, there is no way Dix is worse than what is out there, but sounds like we have feminist coaches, feelings hurt.

Here's another Idea.
Xavier Woods for Xavier Rhodes
Justin Simmons for Cedric Wilson pick in round 3 in 2021 and 2022

Then the Mega
Micheal Gallup and picks in 4th and 5th rounders in 2021 and 2022
For
Denzel Mimms and Quinnen Williams

Last Njoku for a 6th and 7th round pick.

Even though I doubt this Cowboy team gets in the playoffs, I'd still would love this trade. Qunnen Williams is a good football player, and the price is reasonable.

I agree. And the need at the position is abundantly clear as well. They can either use picks now or use them next year.

It's the same front office a GM who was a aggressive for Coop and it worked at the time amd they were still ridiculed about it, so if they were aggressive it wouldnt matter honestly. The QB 4 contract is also a factor sadly

The Cooper trade was an act of desperation because of every ridiculous move leading up to that point. Now some still want them to do the same thing. You don't sense a pattern? This team is worse today than the day they made that trade. Doesn't really justify it. The big picture continues to suffer because of every single dumazz move Jerry makes. Meanwhile Raiders are a much better football team and definitley come off that trade looking like the smart ones while Jerry wallows once again in his own crap. And none of this has anything against Cooper. Good player, just value vs production vs doing a better job of finding that without going into complete desperation mode. Jerry stinks of it.

Looks like we'll be picking early in the draft, so let's keep our picks.

Very well stated.

Cooper trade was stupid.
