What if we lose to Washington?

Is this the defining moment of the season? Do we start the fire sale of players? Who will be to blame? Will Jerry fire McCarthy like he did Wade Phillips?

Things have been bad....And I just can't see how anyone can keep the statues quo if we lose. Is it rock bottom?

Comments?

This might seem crazy, but I would have tried to entice Eli Manning to come out of retirement to play and help save the season. Andy Dalton is good enough to help win a game or two but not the whole season.

It just seems weird so many people want to throw in the towel already.....there is no fight left in this fan base. I guess I will just have to lone wolf it then.....

:flagwave:

I for one...still think we have enough to make a charge. Shift some guys around the offensive line....then maybe we jell....and take off. Defensively....maybe getting Gregory, Lee and Chido back make a difference. I still think your going to see more 4-3 as the season progresses....or changes will be made in the coaching staff. I just can't see us giving up 35pts a game all season long.

Wade was in his 4th season when Jerry fired him after a 1-7 start. Jerry also had Phillips’ previously anointed “head-coach-in-waiting” replacement (Garrett) on the team, whereas Kellen Moore is nowhere near ready to be a HC, even an interim one.

Jerry’s not gonna fire MM after one season — especially not the 2020 season.

If we lose to Washington, I’m not going to be surprised nor should anyone else. And tbh, no one should be angry/sad either.

These next few games are nothing but auditions and auctions. Who wants to keep their job on the Cowboys? Who wants to be traded? Who wants to be cut? Which coach wants to keep their contract going into next year?

I really see no downside in losing tomorrow. Better draft pick for us. Mess up the other teams in our division in the long run. Need I remind you all of how we got CeeDee Lamb? Cause Philly won the division last year and messed themselves up draft pick wise.

We have no shot of winning the Super Bowl! I’d rather lose and get best pick available, instead of winning meaningless games and ruining our draft position. We had a good draft this year, let’s hope these guys continue to get better next year, we have another good draft and get our guys healthy again. We should be competing next year!

I'd be shocked if we win tomorrow. Our oline was bad with Martin and now with him out I don't see our offense doing much. I think Dalton plays better and Zeke will play better but our defense will allow 30+ points. I'm feeling 38-21 Washington win.

If we lose to Washington, the NFC East is so rotten that our season is still worth playing.

In any other year, 2-5 would mean it's time to count down until the draft in April. But this year 2-5 is still a legit division contender.

The third string O-line, no idea whether we win or lose, I'm thinking win, but would not be shocked in the slightest if we lose.

*When.

Washington and Dallas are both bad, but their front 7 is to Washington what our WRs are to us — a single bright spot on an otherwise dismal team.

In this case, it just so works out that their biggest strength is going against our biggest weakness. That’s a recipe for a loss.

Exactly.......fans that keep barking fire MM forget he signed a 5 year contract. Both his coordinators likely signed standard 3-year deals and position coaches 2 years. Suggesting Jerry will fire MM is saying he's willing to eat all those contracts........:lmao:

Have to agree dont think MM is going anywhere We will know if some of our starting defensive players are put on the market to know if Nolan will be back.

Just me, but I don't see firing Nolan as an option but doesn't mean he's back as DC 2021. He could very well be demoted and/or resign rather than staying.
