Morning, Pops and peeps. Thanks to all of you for your expressions of support. It means a lot to me. We all have to deal with whatever comes our way in life whether good or bad. Some situations are the result of our own decisions and some aren't. My approach is just to make the best of it and try to keep a positive attitude. The outpouring of support from all of you helps me in that regard. I love you all.

Morning Pops and everyone.

Well, the grands left early yesterday morning. It’s very quiet here now. I believe a home is meant to have kid noise... otherwise it’s just a house. Kind of like life and having others in it. Without the others to experience it with you, it’s just... life. Add others to the equation and you’ve got living. Granted, there’s a lot less drama without the others, but it’s part of the living.

Enough of my rambling. I have a birthday party to go to this afternoon for one of the local grands. Really don’t want to go but will make my social appearance.

Back to work tomorrow after 5 days off. Not looking forward to that but I’ve got my vision set on the coming holidays. Got my Fall deco going that will carry me through Thanksgiving... then bring on my favorite holiday of all! The weather here is certainly playing to the holiday theme lately. It’s very cold and overcast, which I don’t mind. Supposed to get snow showers tonight into tomorrow but it won’t stick around. Should melt as it lands. Definitely looking forward to my first winter in the new home:rolleyes:.

Enjoy your Sunday, everyone.

Good Monday morning Pops and Mudville residents, I fear poor Casey has not only struck out but has left the building with Elvis. Well, it's just a game and it's their job not ours but there are some players that have some splainin' to do about heart and team.

To be candid, I really don't care because I don't like this team. They've got too many players that think they're all that and they haven't accomplished anything. The chips are beyond down and there's no fight in them. Backing up to a game check and trying to his in plain sight.

Going to be rainy and cold here starting around noon today and not get out of the 40's tomorrow and you know what means? Hey, how'd you know? I wanted to surprise you! Tomorrow is officially Chili Day and the house will be filled with that wondrous aroma filling my nostrils with that earthy chili smell that tantalizes the taste buds. Until I try to go to sleep tomorrow night and exclaim "what the hell's that smell"?

Make this Monday as memorable as you like, unless it turns south on you in which case I wish you Tuesday amnesia.

That's a good idea, CC. I should make chili Friday night. I probably won't, but I should.

Morning Pops, morning Jobs. Morning Fellas and good morning to all who decide to stop in and visit today. I saw Sarge stopped in to say hello. Good to see you posting Sarge.

So, got several inches dropped on us yesterday. Still snowing this morning so I'm guessing a good 8 to 10 inches right now. Might be low 20s and still snowing. Looks like this might go on all through the day. Gonna be a Green Chile Stew and Grill Cheese Sandwich kind of day today.

No school today so I won't be going to go pick up my Little Buddy from Pre-School Today. Oh well.... His Daddy just came home last night from a hunt so it's probably better for both of them that he stays home today. Sucks for me personally but better for the Boys and ABQJr.

One thing though, it's gonna be a great ski weekend I think so maybe I'll get all the kids together and we can all go snowboarding.

Leon, dbrp, Xelda, zrin, Trouty, ksk, RGV, Coach, RWB, Ranching, SW, John, Jan, Corso and Colo, hope everybody is doing well.

Everybody, have a great Tuesday, go get your work done, stay warm and then come on home and maybe over up on a couch or maybe a nice chair and get some blankets on. Eat a good meal and watch a good movie. Maybe a comedy or something, just stay warm and enjoy yourself. Before you know it, you are at hump day and on the downside of the work week.

Be of good cheer people!

Evening, Pops and peeps. The real feel temp here is 29. The wife 's cataract surgery on her 2nd eye went well this morning. She's loving the new eyesight in the eye they operated on last week. I hope she doesn't get the 3rd eye done. You know, the one in the back of her head that she uses to keep tabs on me. I've been able to run amok the last few years.

Mornin' Pops and everybody. Another cold and rainy morning here so I will be canceling my golf game today.

I have to get some type of heater for my workshop so I'm looking for recommendations from Y'all. The shop is 12'X15'. Harbor freight has some parabolic heaters but I don't have any experience with them. Any help will be appreciated.

DON'T GO IN THE WORKSHOP, LEON!!!!!

This is akin to the dumb babysitter going into the cellar to check out that growling noise. Don't do it! There are things in the workshop that will hurt you and it is the worst combination of competing words in the English language, work and shop do not go together, one is fun, one is not.

And you might run into Wayne Wheeler, Warlock of the Workshop and his wistful wailing waif, Wesley Wapplephat. Haven't alliterated in several days and needed that.

Now, I have several space heaters to add to my patio enjoyment when the weather is nippley and in a space that size, of course wasted on a workshop, you shouldn't need one with a fan. I picked the two up I have at Costco and they usually have them set up when you enter the store blasting your face like the breath of Satan calling your name. I told him "get thee behind me Satan, my tushy is cold".

Good to hear about your wife and let's hope she continues to have Third Eye Blind. OMG, alliteration and working bands into a sentence and it's not even Friday yet.

I installed a couple of Dr Infrared ceiling mount forced air heaters in my garage... works great, but.. requires 240v and, if you use it on a regular basis, you will notice the uptick in electric bills. In the new Montana home, I plan to install a ceiling mounted natural gas heater. I think it will be much more efficient and cheaper to operate than the electric. The major downside to the natural gas heaters is that the upfront cost are higher.

Good afternoon Pops and Popsadoodles. I don't know of a shop heater to help you, Leon. If I had a shop, it would be 99% pegboard. That won't keep you warm, so scratch me off the helpful list. Good to hear about your wife's eye surgery going well.

Over the weekend, I pulled my fan muscle and am willing to go on the injured/reserved list. I can't help us this year. I didn't surprise myself by not painting because of the pulled muscle. I'm contemplating suing Jerry Jones for hurting my feelings. Dabz, the emotional support pets were spot on.

Jan, you need to readjust your thinking. You didn't buy a house, you bought your home. With or without noise, it's your home. It will surround you with comfort and safety when the weather or people go crazy on you. It's your canvas to adorn any way you choose to. It's an opportunity for you to unleash your creativity according to your tastes. Crank up your favorite music and dance with the vacuum cleaner or throw out a yoga mat in the tv room and enjoy those deep stretches. Rearrange furniture, pictures on the walls or cabinets. That's your playground, not just a place to exist.

Have a good Wednesday everyone.

Did I say workshop? Of course I meant to say golf cart garage. And I park my golf cart in there to prove it. I ended up ordering a wi-fi connected infrared wall-mounting heater off of Amazon. I will be able to turn it on remotely so the worksh..er I mean golf cart garage will be warm when I go out there. All of a sudden I've got this uppity feeling about me. I will take my grey poupon out there with me.

Ok, you've raised the stakes... a WiFi enabled workshop...er, golf cart garage heater with Grey Poupon. Life. Just. Doesn't. Get. Any. Better.

Ok, Ok. I plan to put a dog washing station in the workshop... your turn.

Good Morning Pops and Friends,

We spent a large portion of this past week identifying our new primary care physician, dentist, physio, etc., etc. I absolutely hate spending so much time on the phone but am very thankful that we have really good health care within a very reasonable drive. The biggest issue we have run into is scheduling appointments. With CoVid, many of the medical professionals are way, way behind. So many people simply stopped going to the doctor during the Spring and Summer and are only now venturing out.

As is typical in the Rockies this time of the year, we are being "teased" with a false Fall. After last week's heavy snowfall and subzero temperatures, this weekend promises temperatures in the 50's and 60's... all is good.

We have started exploring the backroads in and around the Bitterroot Valley. Yesterday was a milestone event as we came across an enormous herd of Elk (lost count at about 70) along with a couple of moose. Wow, not only are moose extremely large and grumpy, they are also singularly unattractive. Ha.

I think we are really going to love living here.

Oh, so you installed a toilet out there too?.....Ohhhhh, you meant the mustard. Never mind.
